I had a so called "manipulative stab you in the back while hiding the hand" friend I thought. Same name and this story fits to a T.
Married six months ago the whole whirl wind romance, etc...
Maybe he found out what she is really like and he is running away.
I tried really hard to be a friend but she has a sickness somewhere in her mind. Sad because she is very smart and can have a good heart if she wanted to but she was always manipulating people.

Not enough information to form much of anything save speculation. Your opinion is biased towards your friend and we have nothing from the other side.
Personally, I wouldn't waste me time for six months of fantasy island followed by a load of crap I'd have to contend with disposing.

Ah, helll no, girl friend! This dude is d*cking down. It's all butterflies and rainbows and shit at first. Once they were together married EVERY DAY dude got tired of the p*ssy and the rainbows.
It's pretty easy to find out if he's creeping or not. She can check the phone bill, the phone. Every time he comes home tell her to drop his drawers and say "lemme smell yo d*ck". She will know if he's been creeping. She can't hide this from him, she needs to find out if he's cheating or not so she can move on with her life.

My bestfriend Kathy got married 6 months ago. She is 51 and he is 55. He wined and dined her and treated her like a queen. He would do anything to get her. He opened car doors for her and took her to the finest restaurants. Bought her clothes and jewelry and showed her off to his friends. He took her to Miami - just because - and proposed to her on the beach. She was the happiest ive seen her in a long time. There was always laughter and good things to talk about. They were married in a small ceremony with just a few close friends and family members. They both seemed over the moon. Now - there is no laughter - no great stories - and he is never home. I keep her company on the phone and visit as much as i can. She thinks he might be cheating. He snuck out of a Christmas party and didnt return home for 4 hours. He never smiles anymore and she says he never laughs and talks with her. Whats the deal?
What's the deal? He is what he is. Apparently she didn't get to know him as well as she thought she did.
Possibilities include:
* he's one of those people for whom the process of wooing and seduction is the only part that he likes. If he's one of those, and doesn't realize it, he might keep going with the seduction until he marries, and only then feel restless and "hungry" again.
* he didn't really know your friend as well as he thought before marriage, and now discovered that he actually doesn't like her that much after all.
* he didn't realize it, but your friend chanced to remind him of a lost lover from his past, or one who he always wanted, and never made headway with. After marrying her, the illusion dissipated, and he found that he was still living just his real life.
* he's one of those people who genuinely thinks of wooing and romance as a procedure to follow to "catch" a mate, and that once they are "in the boat," he can go back to living as he did before, with this "mate" person in the cave for whenever he feels like it.
This last is a VERY common scenario, which is why I personally am loathe to "romance" people by acts of extreme unusual behavior. I act like myself all the time. I don't recommend this idea to others, though, because I can tell you for sure, it doesn't get you laid NEAR as much as the whole "wine and dine her" crap does. That's why the players all go the "show her a great time" route.

You never know someone until you move in with them. The best part of tje relationship is always the first six months. I say its usually over or downhill after you say the words I love you. Once they get what they are after all effort ceases.

You know I met my man a few weeks ago. It was not what you call a "whirlwind romance". We just clicked. Like we have always been together.
We both shake our head because it is not a lust thing, it is an emotional attachment that is hard to describe. Sure, steady and full of love.
We share an intimacy with each other that I have never had before.
I would be weary of having a man sweep me off my feet like that. While it is true you do get that emotional high, but what happens when you come off it? Nothing. You just stare at each other trying to figure out what to do next. Then the emptiness sets in and then the problems start.

Yeah whatever idiot. You are hearing one side of the whole story and it just happens to be the side of your friend.  I'm quite sure she has played a huge part in things changing since the marriage began.
