Okay so I seem to get asked this a lot, or else the conversation gets brought up around me.
What age range are you willing to date within?
Just tossing the topic out...everyone has their opinion...not looking for an argument but just discussion since I've heard this so much...

Do you suppose women are more concerned about it whereas men wouldn't care and are just looking for the one that's right for him?

I prefer to date within 5yrs of my age either way. Depending on the person. Think we have more common knowledge and life experiences of an era lol. Have to be at least 50 and that's pushing the limit. Otherwise it's a been there done that, already lived that, ready to move forward kind of thing.

That annoys me too. Profile says locals only or get lost yet men 1500 miles away still messages me. Annoying. It pisses me off so much i stopped looking all together. I am not even trying to date. Unless someone really impresses me ill just be here for the forums. All that message me are scammers Or morons lol 19 out of 20 are scammers, fake profiles..etc

Definition of "Local" is definitely determined by how far would I run to find my soul mate.

As far as age I would go 4 years above or below. (34 to 42). That's just my personal preference I find we have a lot more in common.
The distance thing really kind of depends on the person. I've dated girls as far south as Florida and as far north as Colorado. (having a pilots license has it's perks )

I think ten years either way..
With extenuating circumstances...
Never younger than 34 and that's pushing the lower bounds alot
I like a woman who has lived and has life figured out
So I'd stretch the upper limit for someone awesome

I'm widowed. A former journalist. I'm a realist.
These days, it's actually easier for me to get a date with an 18-year-old woman and discuss story topics for film ideas over dinner and then split company in the parking lot.
Women my age do not date guys their own age. I know an unbelievable number of cougars.
So, I usually don't date at all. Pointless.

Although younger women does trigger a few fantasies, I would not date one. They usually want kids. I do not want to father anymore babies. I have 2 kids and 3 grandkids. That's enough for me. I think 40-55 would work.
