nobs4u Mansfield, OH 56, joined Oct. 2008	I have been here for a while. I have seen good times and bad,ignorance,(mine,usually!),and bliss and I have never seen it so empty here. I like the folks that are here and are trying their best to make something of it rather than complaining. I am here to find friends and wimmins to party with,go to places in Ohio,do things ,even if just for a day. Drop a line if you want and maybe I can show you and your friend(s) a nice place to eat or visit. NO STRINGS! IDC if you hate me or my views,I would still direct you to what I feel are great places in Ohio and there ya go! You dont even have to thank me! I have had two very nice LD (50 miles away) relationships from this site and met quite a few nice ladies,tho....I hate for any of 'em to miss out on me.

I have met a couple an hour away but they didn't work out. I can and will travel/relocate for the right person though. Until then..I will keep having fun and enjoying everyone's company on here.

I hosted it, and I am in southeastern Ohio near West Virginia. I was in my old worn out van, and it made the trip there and back, but didn't last long after that. I got home at 2:45 in the morning. There really isn't a way to set an event that everyone can or will attend. Also, people just aren't as enthused about events as they once were. I counted it an honor that Nobs and Gentlebear were willing to travel this direction, and I'm thinking that one of the other "yes" votes may have been SWCG.

People have now been online for a long time and have had just about the same success finding nice compatible people that they had when Aunt Ethel was setting them up with the church ladies all the time. Transation.... not much. It is all about what you want from places like this. I tend to be an eternal optimist, but there is a limit, and while you dont go away on a permanent basis, you stop coming by so often, stay for less time and just dont make those connections anymore. Something of a self fulfilling prophecy. People talk about meet and greets. If one's objective is to do more than sit in a lawn chair and get drunk, then there has to be a pretty good mix of people in attendance and people cant be afraid of actually meeting new people. I dont mind competing for attention in terms of numbers of men and women in attendance, but I need to see the opportunity for some success in meeting that right person before I travel 100 miles in the rain, so to speak. Unfortunately, I dont think we have enough interested people right now to do much.

I'm having more fun on facebook believe it or not. But every profile..about 6 now..I delete after its blue. Just a habit of mine. But I like alot of you and had some good times here. I hope all of you have the best of luck to the ones who played and conversed with me. To all the others...find your voice and happiness as well. I'm relocating soon anyway!

I've wondered if that's why they bought it in the first place- to shut it down. If so, that's a shame, because it was once a good site. Some of my best friends are people I met here. I wish Dustin had kept it, but he is in the gaming business now. He creates games for mobile phones and tablets. As far as the Meet and Greet events, I hosted one, it was at a state park, so no alcoholic beverages were allowed. There were 18 who attended, and it was a pleasant day, but again, you get out of an event what you put into it. I've been trying to put another one together, but there is only minimal interest. I'm still considering hosting one, even if only a few attend. After all, why not? A nice day out, meeting with old friends, and maybe meeting new ones, even if there are only a few in attendance, is better than being cooped up in the house in front of a computer screen. I really have,met some great folks and ,hey,even IF the meet and greet events werent the greatest and full of people,well they WERE the greatest and I liked the folks that attended, they were a "mini getaway" for me and I am damn glad I went! Damn glad I joined this site also!.....now, I cannot say the same for all those who have encountered ME....hee,hee,hee

I also have a brand new car!(My first!) It gets 35 mpg and I am willing to go wherever/whenever,so I will try and be there....wherever "there" happens to be!
