Our hair takes a brutal beating from the high level of chlorine in our water, the sun, and salt water. For years we have been perming, coloring, and styling our dry hair to the point where it has become straw for many.
I know I cannot endorse the name of a product here....
But I finally started using cowash or cleansing conditioners. I saw an infomercial about one brand and checked into cleansing conditions.
Wow.... I always believed that to get something clean that I needed to use soap. Shampoo has detergents similar to laundry detergent.
Anyway... nature gives us botanical solutions like mint, as both a cleanser and antiseptic.
I am getting long winded... so, I finally tried this cleansing conditioner and WOW... after using it for just 2 weeks, my hair is as soft as it was when I was a teenager. My hair is fuller and I loose less hair in my brush and down the tub drain. Also... I save money in the long run for not having to use a shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner. All these products left spots more greasy, and a brush that still got snagged in my hair.
The product on the infomercial is high priced and after checking out a few stores, I have found more economical cleansing conditions.
Yes... your hair really is clean.

I was going to say I have no hair on my body at all to try it on
But then remembered the patch above my lip!

Hair and skin are acidic. Detergents are acidic. Soaps are alkali. In a pinch, I have used dish detergent on my hair and it looked great. But, I don't do this all the time.....

I found herbal essences naked in walmart and walgreens. It is in a white bottle with a pump. Don't expect lots of lather, as it is a conditioning wash with cleansing botanicals. It is reasonably priced.
