All the sail boats are coming in for the race to mackinac, Big party in Port Huron (on the Black river) Always a good time - Even saw the big viking ship sail by! And numerous old sailing ships.

It's usually a three day event in July - Come on down! Hit 75 until you hit I-69, then take that right "into Port Huron" The river is right there! It's a big party (use to be bigger, but they have toned it down).
4H is going on right now, tractor and Draft horse pulls and a ton of exhibits that involve the kids

It's been a great week!I "could" complain about the heat But I wont!(Everything else has been awesome)!
Hope your having a wonderful summer - So much to do, and only so much time!!!
Ended the day with a Amish raised turkey dinner (with all the trimmings) In fact "just" woke up from a nap! What a great day and meal!

Went to Frankenmuth MI. Yesterday, The weather was wonderful!
I also heard (read) that a woman was hit by lightening yesterday too! (Not sure where) Don't hear too much about that here (Florida is a different story)!!!

Went from August to Autumn!
I'm not complaining, I love this time of year. It's going to be in the 70s for the rest of the week (perfect)
If you look real close you can find some trees that are changing color already. Mother nature is bring out her bushes and paint early.

Hope you got your oil changed, the weather decided to drop another 10 degrees.
Should stay in the 40s for a few days then drop into the 30s & 20s. No wonder everyone is feeling under the weather, Don't know how to dress for this crazy weather.
(I don't think shorts are the answer).

I had the opportunity to work in Florida last winter.. they hate SNOWBIRDS down there.. LoL. (even though they make a ton of revenue from them). Also, the year round residents are the worst drivers! lol.. I even wrote a song about "Blue hairs dying in my lane".

I lived in Fort Myers Florida for a year and they loved snowbirds (they hated Spring Break).
I know what you mean about driving, In the older sections of Naples (where all the old money was) the main street was nicked named "ambulance alley" People would literally die in their Cadillacs on the Main Street!--- Look both ways when your making a turn!

Beautiful day today, Even took some of the plants outside to get some air and sun.
Tractor is dead as a door knob, I'd complain but the battery is 7 years old. Hope the new one does as well!
Has anyone ever tried a straw bale garden? If you don't have good soil it's a great option
(Although MI. Is a great farming state - great soil).
Nice thing is when your ready for the next year, you will have great compost to start over.
