Well, she was never married to all the men she cheated on, with me, but I can give you the information that was consistently given to me over many years.

The FWB, that was involved in this with me, had consistent complaints about the way she was talked to and treated by many of the men she was with. Also, over the many years she held onto feelings that we would eventually date, despite many discussions where we agreed we would never date because we irritate the hell out of each other. She also had told me that I was better in the bedroom, than most of them.

Now, considering that she did find a guy who treats her well, our relationship has all but ended. So, I can say she was being honest in what or why she did it over the many years.

From that information, I can determine these things: There is some form of attraction, either physical, emotional, or both.

There is likely "triangulation"(if you don't know what it is, google it)in the cheating partner's relationship.

There of course could be competition of proving the man os with the wrong wan, and this would be her way of proving she is the better choice.

Maybe the Mistress is like me, and prefers a "no-strings" attached relationship, but still has a sex drive that needs to be handled.

There could be many reasons, for why a female would do this, similar to the reasons I was a Mister.

If a mistress makes your life worth living because she is good in bed then perhaps the wife one picked is the wrong one and she is probably bored too.

And you wonder why women have affairs and the guys when they find out are super pissed.

Me, I personally could not have done this but I did do a FWB before my ex-husband and I got serious 20 years ago and we were better off as FWB only. We only had sex and fun stuff in common and once married that was disaster, LOL!

But I did want to hear what people have to say about this topic. I have to say, that show was very eye opening and very interesting. I couldn't believe there are actually men out there who pay women to be their mistress. The women are really lucking out in this! They get free clothes, free homes, free cars, etc. IMO, if they're young and hot then why not take advantage of a rich man like that!

I can only put in what I've read, or been told by women who chose to be mistresses to married guys.

Some of them had the (I think bazaar) thought that a guy who IS married, has proven that they are willing to commit, and therefore are kind of like thoroughly road tested mates. All they have to do, is get them to dump their wives, and they'll have security.

Some were more realistic, and enjoyed what they thought of as getting one over on another woman. Pretty much the same competitive reason why some males go after other men's wives.

The younger ones tended to have typical youthful delusions, such as the very common idea that "love is a force in the universe which cannot be denied," or that the reason the guy wanted to be with her, was that she was so fabulously wonderful. Self-affirmation, in other words.

The most male-style pragmatic ones, liked having one or more males on tap for entertainment, who they could ignore when they were otherwise busy, and who wouldn't complain much, because they feared their wives would find out.

I don't think that the ones who didn't KNOW that they were mistresses, don't count for the purpose of this thread.

I second this. She picked me because we were lab partners. I was a 40 year old and going back to college and her, a new 19 year old college student looking for good sex. She really never had a relationship. The one man, a close family friend, did bed her once but after he was completely uninterested in her.
