Sadler's beliefs were racist, but it should be borne in mind that Sadler lived at a time in American history where many distinguished and prominent people held racist beliefs, and eugenics policies of sterilizing certain classes of people deemed as undesirable were enacted in the laws of many U.S. states. Furch's error is in arguing that the UB's eugenics and racism content is futuristic, justified and the product of superior extra-mortal beings, rather than archaic, discredited and a flawed human idea that ended up in the UB due to the Sadler's enthusiasm for it. Both William Sadler and his wife were keen proponents of eugenics.
Thanks, Clarence. While I don't agree with all of your conclusions, the material was good.

Sadler may or may not have discriminated, but he was well known as a racist and he belonged to racists groups. And of course he wrote the Urantia Book---if angels really wrote it, it would be the most Catholic book you ever saw.
It's time for Calvin and Hobbes again:

Racism is wrong at all times and places. Whether it is popular or not at the time is beside the point. Homosexual sex is more popular and accepted than in times past, but no less wrong.

You don't know crap, Ludlow, all you do is lie and bear false witness. Again, the authors of the UB leave the situation up to the decisions of mankind and the fact you keep harping about this shows how disingenuous you are. Especially, since you accept, believe and teach your brethren that God (no mater what Jesus taught) orders man to stone and burn people to death at the stake for all sorts of absurd reasons and to slaughter men, women, children and infants and take their land.

It's your opinion only that homosexual sex is wrong. You should make an effort to avoid insulting the intelligence of other posters by spouting your opinions as fact.

If we didn't use our intelligence , to learn from our environment , we'd still be animals .
Intelligence gave us all of the abilities we need to survive . It gave us belief , but belief doesn't give us knowledge , it keeps us alive .
We don't need any more beliefs , we need to value the knowledge , that our environment teaches us .
Believing we're better than all the rest , is a belief , its a survival mechanism .
Its the environment , that provides the knowledge , to tell us that our beliefs are wrong .
Belief made us animals , its knowledge , that makes us human .

Absolute nonsense. Jesus taught the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of man and He taught/said 'let he who is without sin cast the first stone' (John 8:7) and he gave us the "Golden Rule" to live by saying at Matthew 7:12 "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Jesus was not a racists. You as a professed atheist are just too egotistically deceitful and self-serving and "loony to recognize it."

Jesus never said "let he who is without sin......" There is no such mention of the adultery story in early manuscripts. It's a confirmed fabrication.
Jesus not only displayed bigotry but was also cruel to animals, implored his followers to hate themselves, was a paranoid megalomaniac and divisive individual. In other words, he is a poor example of the right way to live which is why loony buffoons are followers.

In addition to known fabrications written about Jesus is the fact that none writers were eye witnesses. And whoever those writers were are unknown. Attributions to the gospels were done in the 2nd century by Irenaeus. Furthermore, despite known contemporaries of Jesus were in the region and would have seen him, not a single one of them wrote anything about him. How sad is that?
Jesus is a myth. It doesn't matter whether a real Jesus existed or not because there is nothing reliable written about him. Jesus isn't even original. Jesus is a copied myth.

You fail to read. Everything written about Jesus is written by unknown authors and none of them are eyewitnesses. There little original about Jesus. Even Justin Martyr sold Jesus as someone not original. Hilarious.

People who are delusional, with beliefs and obsessions in non-existent beings, places and things, are irrational to the point of mental pathology. Their minds cannot function properly. Their thoughts are disturbed by superstitions and good old fashioned ignorance. They just babble bullshit and can't be reasoned with.
Look at kb2222. He believes a book was written by ET. He's batshit. He hears voices speaking to him. He's batshit. He can't carry on a normal conversation because he's severely delusional.

You are an arrogant idiot. I wasn't trying to "trick" aphro or you into anything. Its a yes or no question and him saying..."If I was dying from dehydration I would probably not be of sound mind. I wonder, aphrodisianus and sail, if you were in a small boat in the middle of the ocean slowly dying from dehydration (before you went completely deranged) would you still refuse to ask for God's help?

My question is not an impossible yes or no question. And its clear your answer is no so why are you apparently afraid to say no? Is it because somewhere deep inside of you when faced with a life or death situation as I described you know you would cry out for God's mercy? Be honest. Answer this question.
You ask..."how can I ask someone/something that I rationally do not believe exists for help?"
Stop fooling yourself. Since the existence of God cannot be proved or disproved it is not solely a matter of rationality to believe or disbelieve. It is rather a matter of desire to believe in things spiritual and once this desire is expressed it becomes a matter of a progressive "faith-realization" relationship.
Is this life the only life you desire to experience, sail? If so, why? If not, then IMO it is indeed "rational" to believe in a God that promises life after death for those who seek Him.
If you disagree, say why?

The existence of God CAN be proved. The orderly intricate universe could not have just popped into existence by itself---it had to be designed and created by a First Cause (God).
Same say, oh the universe always existed. Okay, if so, who put it into motion. Inanimate objects never go into motion without an animate entity putting it into motion---God. Also, there is no evidence the universe always existed, just supposition.

There is no truth in your god or the book, your book cannot even understand the number of chromosomes in humans nor can it tell you the temperature of the sun's surface and it falsely states that Mercury keeps the same side facing the sun.

They're not interested in anything you have to say, they're just screwing with you.
Wikipedia
Internet troll
In Internet slang, a troll (/'tro?l/, /'tr?l/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion,[3] often for their own amusement.
Please do not feed the trolls.

My question is not an impossible yes or no question. And its clear your answer is no so why are you apparently afraid to say no? Is it because somewhere deep inside of you when faced with a life or death situation as I described you know you would cry out for God's mercy? Be honest.
Honestly ..... if I were faced with a life or death situation ..... I wouldn't waste my energy on your god ..... I'd be busy taking every opportunity available to me to save myself. I am not afraid of death ..... but would not give myself up to it without some sort of action to prevent it.
Answer this question.
You ask..."how can I ask someone/something that I rationally do not believe exists for help?"
Stop fooling yourself. Since the existence of God cannot be proved or disproved it is not solely a matter of rationality to believe or disbelieve.
You are an idiot!
Accepting myths and fantasies as fact ..... requires belief.
Reality does not require belief at all ..... it is all around us.
Is this life the only life you desire to experience, sail? If so, why? If not, then IMO it is indeed "rational" to believe in a God that promises life after death for those who seek Him.
If you disagree, say why?
I desire ..... and do ..... live my life to the fullest.
If there is an after life ..... I will also live it to the fullest ..... if not ..... I know that my life played a positive part in this world we live in.
I don't accept your religious dogma ..... it is nonsense.
You're accepting this religious nonsense because you fear what the future will bring. You want some guarantees to lessen your fears of death ..... so accept myths and fairytales as reality.
I do the best I can using the things that life provides.
What will the future bring? ..... no one knows ..... the best we can do is live an abundant life ..... with the hope that the future will pleasantly surprise us.
Peace

You can pooh-pooh them all you want it still points to erroneous information in TUB and shows your devotion is laughable at best. Your spaceman's god is a scam, it is preposterous, a virtual crock of crap, do-do, feces.
