I don't know that they do. Most atheists make it clear they are atheists. They seem to be proud that they have no desire to live after death if it requires belief in God.

Mocking a god is like mocking a cartoon character. What you're confused about is that I am personally mocking you, and other loons like Lud, Wayne, Walt, Fog, and many others. Please understand I cannot mock something that doesn't exist, only the idea of it.
Your personal stupidity and delusions result in your confusion about a desire of a life after death which is a non sequitur to my mocking your mental condition and your absurd beliefs in nonsense. A desire to live is built into all animals which of course will eventually expire at which time it's dead just like you will be one day. You will be dead as will all living creatures on this planet. The problem your suffering now is a dead from the neck up condition. The rest of you goes about it's business.
In the meantime medical psychiatry, cognitive and acceptance therapy can help you with your pathological psychological and psychiatric conditions. You have that available now. You do have medical insurance don't you?
