John 15:9-12 As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. 11I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete (made full). This is My commandment, that you love one another as I loved you.
John 16:24 Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete (made full).
John 17:13 But now I am coming to You, and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled (made complete, made full) within them.
Phil 3:1 Finally, my brethren, REJOICE in the Lord. It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.
Phil 4:4,5 Rejoice in the Lord always and AGAIN I say rejoice! Let your gentleness be obvious to everyone. The Lord is near.
Habakkuk 3:18 Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
2 Cor 6:10 ...SORROWFUL, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
I Thess 5:16 Rejoice evermore.
Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in HOPE; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer...
1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's SUFFERINGS...
Matt 5:11,12 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12Rejoice and celebrate, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.
John 3:29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom stands by and listens for Him, and is overjoyed to hear the Bridegroom's voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete (made full).
I John 3:23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and we should love one another just as He commanded us.
Nehemiah 8:9,10 Then Nehemiah, who was the governor & Ezra the priest & scribe & the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, "This day is holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn or weep." For all the people were weeping when they heard the words of the law. Then he said to them, "Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet & send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is YOUR STRENGTH."
Sometimes sorrow and suffering and persecution and people belittling us can get us down. Yet the testimony of Scripture is that in the MIDST of these we can STILL REJOICE in the Lord. His joy can fill us up, fulfill His pleasure and make us complete, to withstand all things coming at us or weighing us down within.
Do we feel weak? Rejoice in the Lord. You will then become strong in Him. Paul even had to REPEAT this wonderful message twice! This is one thing, as Paul said, that we can always say again and remind ourselves of this glorious truth. I sure needed this reminder and I am rejoicing in Him today and His joy has become my strength to meet what the Lord has allowed to come into my life today. How about you? Tell us here, how the joy of the Lord has been your experience, and of knowing Him better and walking with Him.
