Cartoon: Tom and Jerry
Jerry was a badass. Very creative in defending himself against Tom.
Board game : CHESS!!! The best.
Best board game ever invented on so many various levels. It teaches you many things about life and value thereof. It teaches you planning and preparing. Great exercise for the brain.

growing up I loved:
Kimba the white lion
Marine boy
Speed racer
Ultraman! (not a cartoon per se, but still awesome!)
Board games...Trivial pursuit and scrabble!

As a kid I loooooved Speed Racer! But I can watch Merry Melodies and Ren and Stimpy to this day(and I do ) and still giggle and roar.  And I still prefer to watch them in the mornings with sugary cereal that leaves the milk brown or purple.
My favorite board games were chess(chess club in high school)(NERD!) and Monopoly(Monotony) and Risk. The latter two because my brother and I had our own retarded rule variations. And I still have our original deluxe Monopoly game from the early 70s. Blue plastic suitcase box with real wooden hotels and houses. My original Risk game didn't survive the two years in the booze and drug fueled party house I lived in in college.

When I was a kid Scooby Doo & The Flintstones were my favs.
The Oblongs were pretty funny a few years back. Archer is good.

Speed Racer...the only guy I knew who could wander from the race for 3 days,solve a mystery...only to come back and win the race
Chopper gang...no one remembers this cartoon.

Big "Bay City Rollers" fan...have all their albums, few posters & a tartan teddy bear!
