On August 20th 2016 our friend Eddie Good ;(vaegood) passed away.
Edward Ray Good, 54, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at Sentara RMH Medical Center from health complications. Eddie was born Oct. 14, 1961 and was the son of E. Richard and Wanda Lou Weaver Good of Harrisonburg.
He loved his family and friends, the outdoors, growing flowers and giving them away. Everyone will miss his jokes, his smiles, and his huge heart. All those he came into contact with had a better day because of him.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his siblings, Phyllis Yoder (Dale) of Bay Port, Mich., Barb Gunden (Rod), Janice Gandy (John), Diane Weaver (Jonathan), all of Harrisonburg; special friends and caregivers, Rheatha Whitcomb and Rachel Epling; and his nieces and nephews, Mitchell, Megan, Tyler, Rachel, Brad, Neil, Johnny, Ryan, James and Stuart.
His pastors, Merle Shank and Bert McTier, will conduct a memorial service Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at 4 p.m. at Grace Covenant Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The body was cremated.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Covenant Church, 3337 Emmaus Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22801, or to Cat’s Cradle, P.O. Box 2128, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.

Oh wow, I'm very sorry to hear this. Eddie was a very kind person and I liked him a lot. I know you were good friends with him, Hawk. I'm sorry for your loss. Peace be with you.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend hawkeye. As I am for his family and friends who no doubt will miss him.

hawk, I am glad you started this thread. welcome back.
VA Chat has lost 2 well-loved posters over the past couple of months, keebler & vaegood. Both were great men who will be remembered with smiles. The world has lost two natural wonders because of the passing of these great friends

 Such sad news, the world has lost a very special person. I hate I didn't have the chance to meet him, but enjoyed the time spent playing online with him in the 40's. Hawk I know you two were close, big hugs to you Hon
