well I actually heard that my disability has been confirmed for another 3 years.
I enlisted help from my US House Rep. My confirmation letter came from his office
NOT from the Social Security office.
The entire process was a total pain in the ***!

I had a total different experience. I recently got a letter from Social Security saying I am still considered disabled. They never asked me to complete any paperwork or submit any documents to them. I am assuming they contacted my doctor to verify my disability.

I think it's pretty standard for them to reassess some people in case their disability could improve such as back problems that surgery could help. Unfortunately, for me,I have so many unfixable things that they said I didn't need to do anything and just sent me a continuous letter of benefits.it makes me sad when that happens, telling me I really am disabled.

My reassessment was a few months ago and all I filled out a form with a few questions and to provide dates of medical appointment within a certain period. I sent them a printout that showed ever appointment, procedure and hospital stay for the year plus upcoming. Approved no problem. The printout showed what each appointment was for so no explanation needed. Now my trouble came with Medi-Cal. Here in California I had Medicare and also the states Medi-Cal program to cover what Medicare doesn't. They never received my form so they sent me a termination of benefits. Had to file a complaint. But found a higher up to help me out. That was nerve racking since I had an outpatient procedure happening the day before termination.

Be warned that Obama’s SS office has been raiding the SS funds to fund illegals and doing this partly by knocking American citizens off SS disability. And I have seen examples of this. There was a woman here in my area who has suffered from seizures from birth and has been on SS disability all her life. She cannot work because of her condition. The other day she was in the hospital in serious condition. When she got out she was notified by SS that they were dropping her.

I am shocked that my friend has been waiting for like almost 2 years for her case to be resolved!

Many people are having to get a lawyer to get SS disability today. That was the case for a niece of mine who has fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome (which I think, by the way, is caused by Lime disease, a disease that got loose from our own government’s biological warfare labs). And I have a friend who has all kinds of serious physical disabilities but cannot get it. It is typical for them to delay it several years, even with a lawyer, but one good thing about it is that if and when you do get it, they pay back pay to the time you applied (although the lawyer will get some of that).
When I lived up in Tennessee, I had a friend, a very special friend named Sandy, a little red headed girl in a wheelchair (she was an adult of about thirty years when I met her, but that’s the way I always referred to her), with a genetic defect called Frederick’s’ Ataxia, which attacks the nervous system, and which begins to show up in the late teen years. She had a sister and two brothers, and all but her sister had the genetic defect, which is very unusual, statistically speaking, it normally would affect only one. Her father (who was a wonderful father to his kids), held a grudge against God for that, but before he died--he smoked like a dragon and eventually died of cancer--he turned back to God.
Anyway, it was one of the diseases that Jerry Louis collected money for once a year in his Telethon—research he funded did finally identify the gene responsible for it, but there is still no cure. (It is a European genetic defect that affects a tiny percentage of people. Some years ago, I read an interesting article that there was a tribe in Africa that never had it but that began to come down with it after European explorers came into contact with them. This told me--and I haven’t seen this reported anywhere--that the disease is caused by a bacteria that the great majority have a gene that prevents them from getting the disease, making them immune to it, but the gene is defective in a few people. We are only recently beginning to develop techniques for curing genetic diseases such as this.
Anyway, there is currently no cure for Frederick’s’ Ataxia and it is something that gets progressively worse. But the Government, after their being on SS disability for years, tried to knock her and her brothers off of their SS disability. But her doctor went to bat for them and stopped it. Sandy, who lived beyond the life expectancy for those with this disease, is now in Heaven, there’s a very interesting story to be told here, but I won’t get into it here. The point I was trying to make here is that the Federal Government has been trying to knock people off their SS disability benefits for some time now, and the effort has greatly accelerated recently with its open borders policy. It is skimming money from SS for citizens to give SS coverage to illegals.
To make matters worse, they have, over the years, put all kinds of people on the SS disability rolls such as drug addicts, drug addiction was not previously considered a disability, and ironically, it is the Federal Government itself that is bringing these illegal drugs into the country and selling them into the black market. SS disability should be reserved for people who have actual physical or mental disabilities.
