Truth
I disagree whole heartedly with McCain on a few issues, but have a level of respect for him that Trump couldn't achieve in 5 lifetimes.

Arizona Senator John McCain has admitted that he gave unverified information that would smear Donald Trump to the FBI. Information which somehow wound up leaked to the media.
Bizpacreview.com reported: “Late last year, I received sensitive information that has since been made public,” he wrote in a statement.
“Upon examination of the contents, and unable to make a judgment about their accuracy, I delivered the information to the Director of the FBI.
“That has been the extent of my contact with the FBI or any other government agency regarding this issue.”
The accusations published by Buzzfeed are admittedly unverified and potentially unverifiable
President-elect Trump and his staff have vehemently denied the veracity of the reports.

And they certainly aren't trying to start a new war.
"Many others" took their chance and got out to come home at the first opportunity presented.
As the son, and grandson of two Navy admirals, when the Vietnamese learned who they had, they tried to get rid of him. They told him to leave the camp, and they would escort him safely across the lines.
John McCain responded by saying "I won't leave without my men." He spent an extra five years as a POW when he didn't have to.
THAT'S what makes him an American hero. Donny Trump isn't fit to lick the cowshit off his shoes.

Yes. I did read abt his daddy and his ancestral background. He comes from a long line of military men. There was a PBS show all about it.
It still does not excuse his passing along information he knew or should have known was not accurate.

I bet that PBS documentary was fake. Yeah, McShame comes from a long line of military men, his Daddy handled the cover up for the U.S.S. Liberty.
And then there was McCuck meeting and plotting together with the leadership of ISIS:

Actually you are incorrect. As usual.
My great uncle was the Rear Admiral of the Naval forces during Pearl Harbor. Look him up. John Martin Higgins
And two cousins earned Purple Hearts after serving in the Air Force during the same war.
One died during his service. He was shot down.
My oldest brother served in Viet Nam.
My uncle was a Major.
No wars during his time in the service. But he's a lib. Probably has brain damage.
My father served in the Navy as did my second brother.
My boyfriend served in the Marines during the Vietnam war.
Didn't ask any of them if they left anyone they served with behind.
But that has nothing to do with what game he played on the president to be.
I would thank John McCain for his service, however. And you are correct. Your statements are meaningless to me.

You poor deluded fool.
John McCain ‘Sang Like a Canary’ to the North Vietnamese©
Material Supplied by Colonel Ted Guy
John McCain’s SRO at the Plantation
Dedicated to the Memory of Ted Guy
15 April 2008
Within the first four days of his capture, while in his initial interrogation (26-30 October 1967) at the Hoa Lo prison in Hanoi, and while recovering from his shootdown wounds in the North Vietnamese military hospital (31 October 1967 through mid-December 1967), John McCain provided military information far beyond that which the Code of Conduct – and that which other POWs, while undergoing extreme torture – refused to divulge to the enemy. Colonel Ted Guy, McCain’s Senior Ranking Officer (SRO) while they were both imprisoned at the Plantation prison complex in Hanoi, gathered information from various sources after the POWs were released in March 1973.
This information comes from U.S. intercepts of North Vietnamese broadcasts to American servicemen in South Vietnam around 31 October 1967, as well as from dispatches by North Vietnamese and Cuban correspondents — using material from a Nhan Dan (the central organ, the voice of the Communist Party of Vietnam, then and now) correspondent who interviewed John McCain. This material was published on 9 November 1967. The latter were backed up by the intercepts of these messages by the Message Center of the U.S. Department of Defense National Military Command Center, dated 11 November 1967..
A separate interview of McCain by a Soviet Union correspondent was published by Pravda in Moscow on 8 December 1967. A copy of this interview is presented below. And finally, McCain was interviewed by a French correspondent who published a series of interviews announced on 25 December 1967 and began 27 December 1967. This interview was intercepted by the Message Center of the U.S. National Command Center and disseminated via message on 1 January 1968.
Each of these official records of John McCain’s interviews with foreign correspondents, while held captive in Hanoi is reproduced below. Observe that every one of these interviews contains military information — far, far beyond the limits required by the Code of Conduct. Indeed this information is far beyond what nearly all of the POWs were severely tortured to obtain — the insignificant ‘gray area’ information such as nebulous ‘air pirate’ signed statements. Only those few who were turncoats and anti-war sympathizers among our POWs gave up more information to the enemy than did John McCain.
Indeed, John McCain made good on his promise to his interrogator, ‘the Bug,’ to provide U.S. military information in return for medical attention to his shootdown wounds. See the essay, ‘John McCain as a POW’ for the context of this promise. These interviews are documented below.

Colonel Ted Guy, McCain's commander during his time as a POW was preparing a case of treason against McCain shortly before President Richard M. Nixon signed a blanket pardon for all returning prisoners of war. Thus, McCain escaped all prospects of prosecution.

James Clapper called me yesterday to denounce the false and fictitious report that was illegally circulated. Made up, phony facts.Too bad!
6:23 AM - 12 Jan 2017
Someone has to take the fall for #Pissgate.
John McCain, the CIA, CNN, Buzzfeed, the entire country of Britain – everyone needs to go under the bus.
If Clapper doesn’t want to go down for it, he needs to start throwing people under the bus immediately.
Who could have possibly thought it was a good idea to release the Piss Files?
“Mulder, I don’t believe it…” – “It’s true Skully, it’s all true – they pissed all over the place. This is a pissfest so huge it could bring down the entire shadow government and that’s why they’re trying to silence us.”
I mean, who is running this?
If you’re going to produce fake documents, the least you can do is spell words correctly, no?
So what sort of low-level imbeciles are running the intelligence agencies, the media and the government?
Who are these retards?
What the hell is going on?

Interesting. I've seen conservatives in this forum say military should get respect just because they served. But look at that, you actually think the way I do when it comes to respect.
So, if they're caught, they don't deserve respect? What else causes you to lose respect for fellow soldiers or veterans?

Good Point City,
John McCain served with honor and distinction. (And nothing like the honor and distinction Susan Rice talked about Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl serving with.)
John McCain deserves our thanks, and our deepest respect for what he went through.
Defining the, "Hero" word, is a little above my pay grade.
I wouldn't argue that any person who risked his life is not a hero.
My Uncle, who lost his leg while in a fire fight with the Nazis, always said that he was not a hero. (All of us little boys knew better, we knew darn well he was a hero.)
But how about my dad? He was never seriously wounded, and none of us actually thought of him as a hero. (Was being shot at, "For the Duration", less heroic than being in a POW camp?)
I thought Oliver North was a hero for signing up for his second tour. (You might do the first tour our without knowing what Vietnam was all about.) I didn't think his actions during the Iran Contra affair were heroic.
We could have a darn good discussion about what constitutes being a hero, if we weren't so angry about politics.
My definition would start with, "Doing something that you are very much afraid to do, out of duty and honor."
The funny thing is that, even after you do this once or twice, you always fear that the next time you might not be strong enough to-- Wouldn't a hero know that he would do it the same way again?
Hero's shouldn't doubt themselves,,SHOULD THEY?
But I thought conservatives were all for the military and demanded they all be respected for serving. When did that change?

McCain was badly wounded. I guess he could have shot one or two guys, but his orders were to surrender, when he found himself under the conditions he was in.
One or two grunts, is not worth losing a pilot over. McCain followed his orders, and his orders were sound.
The only shame here is that the politicians, were not willing to do whatever needed to be done, to secure the release of our people. We should have rescued our people, and we didn't.
I agree that any release, would have cost plenty. Maybe we could have secured McCain's release, if we gave Jane Fonda the Medal of Honor?
I served my time. So didn't most males in my line.

Sgt. Major John Holland talks about his frustration with McCain
With McCain supporters continually touting his heroism and attacking Democrats that served honorably in Vietnam like John Kerry and Al Gore, the unavoidable embarassment that their standard bearer may have been the biggest American traitor since Benedict Arnold, confidence in Conservative news sources has to disappear, at least with veterans.
A fair comparison to McCain would be Jane Fonda. Both spent time in North Vietnam.
* Both are accused of helping North Vietnam, Fonda by being photographed and McCain by doing many propaganda broadcasts and helping the enemy plan attacks on American soldiers.
* Fonda returned to be reviled and spit on while McCain returned to the Senate, spending years helping North Vietnam keep Americans prisoner and amassing a huge fortune trading on heroism and sacrifice we are now told never happened.
* Of the two, Fonda was the more honest and by far had done the least harm to the United States.
Colonel Ted Guy was preparing criminal charges against John McCain when Nixon took Admiral McCain's little boy under his wing. Where are McCain's 32 propaganda tapes that were made during Vietnam and broadcast over the radio to US troops? (see: Colonel Ted Guy)
Why did McCain accuse American soldiers of war crimes during Vietnam? What did he get in return?
If our news media can go thru a presidential election hiding all of this from the American people, nearly putting someone like this in office, what else are they capable of? What else have they done? What else are they hiding?
Vietnam veterans are requesting that the records of the debriefing of all POWS be made public. Those who were heroes need real recognition and shouldn't have to hide behind a presidential pardon they never needed or wanted.
Those who betrayed their country, some to sit in public office, on corporate boards or to travel around the country basking in glory and pointing fingers at others need to get the homecoming they earned. We spent the last 35 years honoring ALL the POWs while 58,000 dead and another 200,000 plus dying were neglected and abused, denied jobs, denied medical care and hated by their fellow Americans.
None of this would matter if the shadow of Vietnam would die too. It lives on. While some of us are still around, perhaps a moment of justice is in order to help the forgotten and the fallen, wherever their spirits are tonight.

I'm sure he did. I'm sure anyone else in his captivity and torture would have too.
A military man knows that too. Choice is fight and die or spill it all.

Much more than a rhyme.
What the hell happened to him in that Vietnamese prison?
I would think that if McCain was truly a POW, he would be dead set against war but he instead is always instigating it and the only explanation would be that he wants war so that his financial backers can profit from it. By the way, have you seen the video of the other POW's that despise McCain saying that he wasn't a war hero and most likely collaborated with the enemy?

mccain also gave away security info during his 'imprisonment' in order to get release.
and now he turns over 'fake' documents to take down trump.

Here's some of the document that was leaked by 4Chan. These get really insane/funny:
It has some of the crap 61:falcon, muldoon, and others have been pushing since the election. They have been pushing nonsense created by 4chan; but their innate stupidity and hate for Trump has blinded them to the fact they're all being used as cats paws.

Yes, one American Pilot is worth more than two North Vietnamese grunts.
Say what? One man is worth more than another man?

This is going to be the end of McCain's career.
The way this should be handled, now that the hoax is officially exposed, would be to have the Committee on Privileges and Elections vote to censure McCain, and then remove him from the Senate. He could also be impeached for conduct unbecoming a Senator for being involved in such an obvious hoax.
