Wow!
My daughter conjured up a sports viewers snack for the company watching the games at her home today.
She put Lil' Smokies in the crock pot and covered them with Sweet Baby Ray's. She let them simmer all day.
Near dinner time, she peeled potatoes and put them on to boil.
Then she took a fresh loaf of Italian bread, sliced it on a sharp angle (like western toast), lathered it with whipped butter, garlic, paprika & chives and toasted it in the oven until golden brown.
Draining the booked potatoes, she mashed them with butter, salt & pepper to taste.
She then heated a can of baby sweet peas and drained the liquid off.
Taking all the the listed ingredients are created an open-face extravaganza!
On a plate she placed a slice of toasted garlic bread --
Next she placed Lil' Smokes over the bread and smothered with hot BBQ sauce...
Taking an ice-cream scoop full of mashed potatoes she plopped them onto the smokies.
She scooped in a "birds nest" on the potatoes and filled it with peas.
Voila!
Meal-in-a-bowl has never tasted this good.
