For a couple of years in a row, I went to the Miller Genuine Draft Hot n Spicy Food Festival at Dobbins AF base near Marietta Ga to eat spicy snack, drink large draft beers and see bands play while I roasted in the hot sun on an open tarmac. They would have different aircraft there you could walk around and check out off to the side. It was cool!
Not as cool as seeing Dr. John play boogie-woogie piano but cool never the less! 
aircraft is cool.
my dad used to take me where they kept the older aircraft. kinda like a aircraft grave yard. it was better than a museum. they were still all in tact. I got to climb all through them.

I'm watching how the B52s mess some stuff up. I didn't know they could drop so many bombs at once. I guess that's just as bad as murder stuff. lol
Oh yeah!...they dropped them one after another during the second war.  I watch that stuff too! Can't stay off the military stuff,nor murders.

I don't think there is one WW11 film or show I haven't watched. My brothers wife gets mad at me and my brother  if it doesn't have something to do with war or killing, she says we won't watch it. ..untrue! I just can't get into the romance channels, nor soap operas like she does. I rather watch paint dry!...honestly!

I don't think there is one WW11 film or show I haven't watched. My brothers wife gets mad at me and my brother if it doesn't have something to do with war or killing, she says we won't watch it. ..untrue! I just can't get into the romance channels, nor soap operas like she does. I rather watch paint dry!...honestly!
I enjoy watching it but not as much as you do. I don't enjoy reading but I learn a lot things people learn by reading by watching it.

I enjoy watching it but not as much as you do. I don't enjoy reading but I learn a lot things people learn by reading by watching it.
I like a good feel good movie once in a while but I have seen every Muhammad Ali fight with my dad and I have a game with a little dude with a bazooka that's blows jazz up. lol I love it.
I'd rather watch paint dry than watch soaps too.
A lot of what I watch to this day is because of what I was exposed to mostly as a kid. My dad was into all that stuff, westerns,war movies, history etc etc. I would sit and watch it with him for the most part. I have a lot of the same interest as he did. My dad was also in two branches of the service..Navy and Army. He served near the end of the second WW11 and Korean. I like watching what the world was like then, when he was a young man. I find it interesting to see what this country sacrificed in getting us to this point. I'm very disappointed in what I see today as opposed to then. Everyone seemed to work together for a cause then. Doesn't seem like this country stands together at all as it once did then.
I know I am rambling...I'm just sad that the country we live in is so divided now is all.

I never asked him. he saw 3 wars in his life time. I think that's more than any man should have to see. he came from a broken home. worked his way to becoming a master sergeant and a well respected man by all that knew him. people joined the military to get an education and to have a steady income raise their families. times were different then.
if your intention is to start something about people for being sent into a war zone why don't you start with the ones you start.
