Mine was a farm mix as the vet called him his name was buck his mother was a Pomeranian English bull his father was a German shepherd
I could call his name and he would stay right where he was but if I whistled a tune of high low high he'd come running and he only came to me when I'd whistle

I had a Himalayan cat and he loved popcorn. All I had to do was take out the popper and he'd start howling.

His name was Secret Sable Man (Sable/Sabbie/Boo).
He was a Shetland Sheepdog.
We had him from weaning until the end of last year. He was 14 years old.
Anyone who has, or has had, a Shelter doesn't need to be told what makes them special.
Everything!
One of the smartest dog breeds in the world. Easily trained. Obedient. A herder (fantastic babysitter). Comprehends sign language, spoken language, tries to verbalize, eye contact commands, beyond loyal, loving, caring, compassionate, attentive, beautiful, sweet and aggressive personality, protective, competitive, territorial (bring on the pit bull & watch it get a new bunghole in his yard), loving.
He (and his toy) are sadly missed.
His loss is only assuaged by the fact that I own his son.
