It was William Tyndale and NOT King James who translated, published and distributed the very first English Bible. The problem was, he did it without the consent of the King of England or the Catholic church. And for his trouble, he was hunted down and executed by the king with the full blessings of the Catholic church. Yet another example of how the Catholic church interferes with the judgment of men.

And why not? The Catholic church had enjoyed the full right of Interpretation of the Bible for hundreds of years. What the priest says goes - end of discussion. So why would the Catholic church want people to read the Bible and start asking alot of pesky questions? Why would the Catholic church want their priests' authority questioned by the authority of the Scriptures?

But Tyndale's work did not go in vain. For it was the bisexual King James who plagiarized Tyndale's work for his own English version of the Bible. After all, who would DARE accuse the King of England of such an atrocity as plagiarism? And what court would try a king, as his court was the highest in the land? Let us not cloud the issue with such facts as the KJV matches Tyndale's Version by about 85%.

I suppose being king does have its perks.

And so I have always thought that the KJV was created as damage control to help the Catholic church maintain some level of control over the population.

Today we have what is known as a copyright. A system that is supposed to ensure a writer or inventor to maintain some level of control over his/her work. Even the President of the United States can't plagiarize what you write, legally.

Of course, this system didn't stop the Catholic church from plagiarizing either. The Catholics believe that they were the ones who put together the Bible. This includes plagiarizing the OT, clearly written by the Jews hundreds of years before Christ had come. And the NT as well, as we have Ancient Koine Greek manuscripts that date back to before the Synod of Hippo (393 AD).

Could this be why the Catholic church does not use them?
