1 Benjamin = a card with something meaningful and heartfelt from your own thoughts and handwriting outside the (card itself), 3 long stem roses, $50 gift card to Home, Bath and Beauty (they love lotion and candles), and a $20 gift card to Barnes and Noble seems like it would be a step in the right direction!!

If not Book get em a $20 gift card for Starbucks!!

First consideration is who gave you the $100. Do they have a hidden agenda? That is do they want you to spend it a certain way?

Assuming that the acceptance of the $100 doesn't have any strings attached, you must do an analysis of the recipient of the gift. It's generally a bad idea to buy very personal items like perfume, Jockey shorts, magazines, or such:

So you have to put on your thinking cap to decide what the person might like. Now if you know something that the person, let's assume a guy, wants a certain something, it might be safe to buy that:

Or perhaps a book:

Or liquor is always good assuming he drinks:

Or if it was Scarecrow:

I hope I have helped you with your dilemma!

Their likes would be a good indicator for me. You can't get more bang for your buck if you look hard enough. Gift card isn't the way to go I think?? Shows they were not worth the time or effort. A little time given to find the perfect gift is way more appreciated, makes it more special too.

Gift cards are perfect because when you truly love and are infatuated with real connection you immediately understand that $100 is not even a proper way to say hello.

A gift card or cash is what a moron would give. It an easy thing to do and doesn't involve any sort of thinking about the person who is going to receive the gift. This is what a lazy disinterested person would do. In short, it demonstrates a total lack of caring about the person receiving the gift.

A gift from a thoughtful person who would take the time to carefully pick a simple card with an appropriate message would be more appreciated.

It's $100. If most people I meet on the street or in stores desperately need a $100 dollars it's the best bet to give a gift card. It is one step from just giving them cash by controlling where they can spend the money you are giving to them.

Look at YOU, if anyone could use a Benjamin it would be people like YOU!!

And DH is FULL of EM!!

Me neither. With anything regarding clothes, foot wear or handbags really.

The only thing I would accept is lingerie. Not cause I trust them with that either but if he likes it and wants to see me in it. I'm okay with that.
