I believe that most Americans want the same thing, but they differ in the means to attain those goals. So, that being said, what goals do you aim for the nation to have when voting for your Congressman or for president?

Mine? It's real simple. Restore the middle class to its former glory of the 1950's and 60's. What is yours?

I want only to stuff more money into the pockets of billionaire capitalists. If we have to export good-paying jobs to slave-waged locations, so be it. If we have to slash health-care spending on the underclass so that we can give billionaires a trillion dollars in tax cuts, so be it. If we must encourage mergers and acquisitions resulting in lots of workers losing their jobs, so be it. If we must have more and more machines taking workers' jobs, so be it. If we must wage non-stop imperialist war killing millions of people along the way and destroying other nations, so be it. If we must use terrorist proxy armies to kill and destroy, so be it. If we must throw more and more people into the prison industrial complex to jump-start their profits, so be it. If we must wage World War III, so be it. If we must privatize the public school system, so be it. If we must load the nation down with massive amounts of debt all made payable to super-rich capitalists, so be it. If we must slash and ultimately eliminate Social Security and Medicare, so be it. If we must target 2% inflation growth while keeping workers wages stagnant, so be it. If we must dish out trillions of dollars in bailouts to super-rich capitalists on their bad investments, so be it.

You see, all I want is for every major policy passed to be a boon for super-rich one-percenters and a total affront to the 99%, and, as such, for the past 30 years, I have been very, very happy because that's exactly what's been happening regardless of which party held political power. Woo hoo capitalism!

God. You forgot about the 80's. Those were the days...commercial real estate was very, very good to me. I'm afraid those days are gone forever. The world and the people in it are soooooo different today.

Something weird happened. When Ronald Reagan became president. He rode to office on complaints of an “out-of-control debt” that was as big as “a stack of $1000 bills 67 miles high.” And in eight years in office he added another 125 miles to that stack.
Debt: Total owed from past and present borrowing. Deficit: This year’s borrowing.

As the graph shows, the debt was actually at its lowest point in 50 years compared to the US economy, but he grew the debt much faster than he grew the economy. That’s why the graph shoots up when he takes office. No one had done that since Word War II, and Reagan had promised to balance the budget. That’s weird.

But one guy saw it coming and said so loud and clear. And that same dude, a first-class Republican, is seeing the same thing all over again and says he’s voting for Hillary Clinton (09/19/16). His name is George H. W. Bush, the 41st president of the United States.

He called Reagan’s plan Voodoo economics, and when it came to the debt, that Voodoo made a zombie out of Reagan and generations of Republicans. Unfortunately Bush lost the primary to Reagan, and Reagan made him vice president. So not long after he called Voodoo on Reagan, he had to deny he ever said it.
