Figuring 80% of high school graduates, don't quality to enlist, because they're either physically or mentally deficient, I would say more than ever they need too be. The obesity rate and physical fitness, is an atrocity. In fact most of these parents should be charged with neglect and child endangerment, for the way there kids health is. Let alone their Maths and Science's are at about a 7th grade level, on the average leaving high school.

Seperate living facilities for women are very expensive. Women can't always do their share of the work (they can shoot the rifle but can they load and unload boxes of ammo from the truck?).
A military unit is built on male bonding. Women interfere with that.
The platoon's position is untenable and the platoon needs to retreat. But the women in the platoon are not strong enough to hike thirty miles in six hours with full packs. Do we leave them behind to be killed or captured (and probably raped?). Do we make the men arry their packs? Do they abandon their packs and sleep outside in minus 3° weather?
For so many reasons women should not be allowed in the military, medical personnel excepted.

Last year in Sturgis a buddy of mine and I walked up to Tittie Alley, the main drag through the campground, and it was all a**holes and elbows. There was a hot little piece of a** on her bike and she'd burn off her tire every once in a while. As she was in the middle of a burnout, a guy walked over and flipped her kill switch and walked off. Cool as a cucumber, she put down her stand, walked over and popped that f**ker right in the mouth...it was hilarious!

Yes, I was a miltary policeman in the Marine Corps, 1973-76. They were just beginning to allow women in the MPs at that time. They wisely did not allow any of them to go on patrol with us, because our main job was wrestling drunks, and women couldn't do it.
Do you ever watch Law and Order/SVU? Notice how the character Olivia Benson flips men three times her size around like they were made of feathers? That doesn't happen in real life---ask any cop.

It isn't to provide jobs, it isn't to give certain people a chance to prove how tough they are, and it isn't to play political games for either national or international politicians' betterment.
It is to defend the country from physical harm from other countries militaries. That means that when some other people start killing our people, these military folks take on the job of dealing with them. If you don't have any first hand or even second hand understanding of what warfare on any serious level is about, then good for you for being so lucky. But don't open your mouth, or start typing on your computer to make declarations about who should or shouldn't be in the military, because you are too ignorant to have a valid thing to say.
Warfare is about the physical destruction of societies. Every part of them. Women, children, civilians and soldiers alike. Because it's about everyone being in mortal danger, that means that everyone will be involved in the military in time of war, whether they think it's "appropriate" or not. So as far as I can reason out, since everyone in a society IS involved, everyone should be able to participate in the society's defense.
