If you mean that it's odd that "most Christians" can't separate the actual teachings of the Bible with stuff that Medieval Kings of Europe decreed in order to repopulate their countries after decimation by wars and plagues, I can't fully explain it. Certainly preachers tend to avoid the stuff in the Bible that contradicts the message they are trying to preach. They tend to be above-average intelligent folks though, and they generally know the book very well, so most preachers should certainly be aware that the Bible isn't "pro-life". Maybe the Catholic Church still has a doctrine calculated to convince "the flock" to breed as many more Catholics as they can, to increase the power and contribution amounts of their congregations, and maybe evangelical branches of Christianity just kindof get swept along with it if they aren't actively participating in the deception.
