Believe me when I say, I know why you feel that way. I have been there and done that, so I will not do that again. Expecting someone to just enjoy the company of another person, and getting to know them is just a pipe dream any more.

Most have done what you suggest. After awhile you just become tired and frustrated of the game. When you get a little age on, all you want is a peaceful existence without all the dramatics, lies, and bullshit. Someone in another thread thought they knew me, or how I was giving their thoughts on what type person I was??

When I said they were way off ,they truly were! I haven't had my way when it comes to the men in my life. The princess crap never existed either! If anything I gave men more than their fair share of chances. Most times in doing so, it has left me on the bad end of things. You keep trying to convince eyes why she should take time to date. Why should she if she doesn't want to? I know from my experience in coming out of any relationship and starting over again has left a bad taste in my mouth. People get tired of giving up everything and starting all over again. I have made a comfortable life for myself with the added a lot of hard work on my part in getting here. I'm 53 now, and too damned tired of giving people the benefit of the doubt. I'm not giving nothing else up at this stage of the game. I can definitely see too why people wouldn't want to waste their time either with dating. You do you matt,and quit fretting over what others do! Until you have walked a mile in their shoes...you have no clue!

My Grandmother was the same way luv...she was only in her 50s when my Granddad died...she lived another damn near 60 yrs...alone.
