Trump promised us he would do this and finally calling on Germany to pay their fair share. He told Germany that they need to pay their 2 percent to NATO and they export to us far more than the import from us and this needs to change if we want to get out of debt.

THANKS TRUMP for taking a stand again for the American people.

Relevant, and irrelevant, here's why;

There are four types of traded goods;

1. Raw materials
2. Semi-finished products
3. Finished products
4. Services

Now café express, which above imported goods create more jobs in the U.S., and usually, higher paying jobs?

You can't have it both ways.

The Trump's of America make their shit, where they pay shit wages.

That's why WalMart can sell 50" TV's for $400- and I don't hear anyone complaining about that!

America is now a Service Economy! We don't make widgets anymore!

If we want widgets, we will have to have them imported now!

We don't have a trade deficit! We have a widget deficit!

And you can take that up with Ivanka and Donald Trump for having their widgets they sell made in China where they work their people all week for about $20 while laughing all the way to the bank!

Donald Trump needs to STFU about trade deficits and American jobs going overseas, because He is the best example of the reasons why!

Idiots! You Trump supporters truly are idiots!

And BTW- GO F**K YOURSELVES for being so stupid!

As the machinery industries go, so goes Great Power. About 80% of the world’s production of factory machinery has been controlled by what we would consider the “Great Powers.” Until the 1950s, the US had produced about 50%; we now produce less than China’s 16%.

Manufacturing is the most important cause of economic growth. In 2005, the Japanese manufacturing sector was 20.2% of its economy, in Germany it was 23.2%, and in the US manufacturing accounted for 13.4%. according to the Economic Policy Institute, each manufacturing job supports almost three other jobs in the economy. That makes sense, considering manufacturing is central to the economy.

We need to rebuild the manufacturing sector of the United States. It’s time for the United States to wake up before it’s too late and rebuild the foundation of a strong, prosperous, middle class economy.

If politics is why the markets went up in the first place, it may be precisely why the market suddenly tanked as well: While it’s often hard to determine one root cause of a market drop, it’s possible that some investors are losing faith in Trump’s ability to speedily implement the radical reforms he promised for issues such as health care, taxes, and regulation. Businesses may also be unsure of how some of Trump’s policies, such as immigration reform, could impact their workers and bottom lines.

Automobile Sales are down this month to a degree we haven't seen in over 8 years!

Housing has stagnated again, and unemployment is on the rise!

"Tanking" would imply Trump had the reigns for 8 years, he hasn't been able to pass his policies yet dumbass. Tariffs on imports, less environmental regulations, and lower corporate taxation are things he hasn't done yet, which to a dumb f**k like you, wouldn't realize how beneficial it would be to our manufacturing trades.

Tariffs on Imports? Are you as stupid as Donald Trump!

Here are five of the top reasons tariffs are used:

Protecting Domestic Employment
The levying of tariffs is often highly politicized. The possibility of increased competition from imported goods can threaten domestic industries. These domestic companies may fire workers or shift production abroad to cut costs, which means higher unemployment and a less happy electorate. The unemployment argument often shifts to domestic industries complaining about cheap foreign labor, and how poor working conditions and lack of regulation allow foreign companies to produce goods more cheaply. In economics, however, countries will continue to produce goods until they no longer have a comparative advantage (not to be confused with an absolute advantage).

Protecting Consumers
A government may levy a tariff on products that it feels could endanger its population. For example, South Korea may place a tariff on imported beef from the United States if it thinks that the goods could be tainted with disease.

Infant Industries
The use of tariffs to protect infant industries can be seen by the Import Substitution Industrialization (ISI) strategy employed by many developing nations. The government of a developing economy will levy tariffs on imported goods in industries in which it wants to foster growth. This increases the prices of imported goods and creates a domestic market for domestically produced goods while protecting those industries from being forced out by more competitive pricing. It decreases unemployment and allows developing countries to shift from agricultural products to finished goods.

Criticisms of this sort of protectionist strategy revolve around the cost of subsidizing the development of infant industries. If an industry develops without competition, it could wind up producing lower quality goods, and the subsidies required to keep the state-backed industry afloat could sap economic growth.

National Security
Barriers are also employed by developed countries to protect certain industries that are deemed strategically important, such as those supporting national security. Defense industries are often viewed as vital to state interests, and often enjoy significant levels of protection. For example, while both Western Europe and the United States are industrialized, both are very protective of defense-oriented companies.
Retaliation
Countries may also set tariffs as a retaliation technique if they think that a trading partner has not played by the rules. For example, if France believes that the United States has allowed its wine producers to call its domestically produced sparkling wines "Champagne" (a name specific to the Champagne region of France) for too long, it may levy a tariff on imported meat from the United States. If the U.S. agrees to crack down on the improper labeling, France is likely to stop its retaliation. Retaliation can also be employed if a trading partner goes against the government's foreign policy objectives.

First of all, imposing Tariffs would get us thrown out of the WTO. That is what is truly at stake.

2ndly, once we are out, other countries could impose horrible tariffs on us to the tune of whatever they wanted.

All tariffs are going to do is create a real trade war, and create such an inflation, where the middle and lower class would suffer immensely.

Go ahead and tariff the country that exports AMD computer chips to the US, and see what your next computer, phone, or television is going to cost you.

One of the reasons why Intel chips are reasonably priced is because they have international competition with AMD.

AMD will simply raise their prices to get around the tariff fees, and INTEL will raise their price to match AMD- Why? Because they can! That's why!

That's just economics. The price is what the market will always bear!

And tariffs makes goods cost more.

Why do you think America has always been the model and standard for Free Trade?

Here, let me help you pay for that deficit.

Give everyone a 20% increase in pay. This means we will pay in 20% more in taxes.

In five years, if we don't increase any spending, our deficit is paid for.

In 10 years we have a 20 trillion dollar rainy day fund!

Vote for me- We'll fix this deficit!

What's amusing fish is that the Trump plan doesn't cut any spending, it only cuts to the rate of growth in spending. Did you pick up on that or are you ignorant like the other 99.9999% of ignorant stupid idiots?

Do you know what the rate of growth of spending actually is?

It happens to be the interest we owe for the money we borrowed last year- every year.

That is why the debt ceiling has to be raised every year!

And that is why Donald's plan is full of shit and thank God! Congress was smart enough to realize it!

Donald's plan seemed to forget that we have to make interest payments on what we borrow!

The interest is up to about a trillion dollars a year now!

Exactly why do you think the deficit increased about a trillion dollars a year over the last 8 years?

DUH!

Mr Trump got Lockheed to lower their prices. Now why would Lockheed agree to that? I think he could have gotten them lower but who am I to say. If you haven't noticed yet the deficit is declining.

Quote from jillybodob:
Go look at the public record fish, did Obama ever spend less in any year?

The answer to your question is No!

"CONGRESS" did not spend less each year! And because they didn't we had to increase the debt ceiling to compensate for the interest payment- each year!

The only way we will ever pay for this deficit is to increase our Gross National Product!

It has been stalled since the 2002 election and has been hoovering under 3% and it seems to be stuck in cement.

No one! NO ONE! has figured out how to make it increase and it has baffled even the best economists!

And I say this in a most A-political viewpoint!

Wich is why Congress doesn't like Trump, spending less to get more...they don't like it. Cut's into their kickbacks.

Obama started spending and never let up spending more. Unemployment fell from 10% to 4.5%, that sad f**k never spent a dime less. That's f**ked up. The sad a** never invested a damn dime in anything of value. Did you ever get a shovel? Ever wonder why I keep saying that?

Old mother Hubbard went to her cupboard and the cupboard was bare. After borrowing Trillion?

Obama borrowed $10 Trillion in your good name, not his, and you don't have a pot to piss in after 8 years. Wake the f**k up.

Obama and Congress just did a pretty good job of being able to keep the lights on over the last 8 years!

So, let's not be so hard on them for that- you survived! That's what's important.

But, my advice to Donald Trump is let's also not throw the baby out with the bathwater just to try and improve things.

Economies are delicate- sometimes when you f**k with things that aren't broke- you can really f**k them up!

All Donald Trump is trying to do is feather his own ass!

Trust me! I've got him all figured out!

$10 Trillion f**king borrowed $$$, and the b*tch didn't build a damn thing. And Mr Schumer? Complaining your train stations are a disaster. F**k these incompent boobs over that last 8 years. Worthless pieces of garbage. The nation needs to rid all who boarded that train.

Do you know who buys their cars from Germany?

Hint: It isn't the people making less than 25K.

Remember - you might want to think about your vote before you cast it instead of whining about it later.

Organic products? That's because everything here needs to be controlled by GMO's so the corporations can make us sick so the pharmacudicals can over charge us to prolong our death.

Electronic outsourcing? Again, think about the corporate greed you just voted into office.

Donnie & Ivanka prefer China.

Happy shopping!

Quote from trackker:

Quote from fishnthec:
First of all, imposing Tariffs would get us thrown out of the WTO. That is what is truly at stake.

2ndly, once we are out, other countries could impose horrible tariffs on us to the tune of whatever they wanted.

All tariffs are going to do is create a real trade war, and create such an inflation, where the middle and lower class would suffer immensely.

CEO of Levi (jeans), on CNBC a few days ago: If the government imposed a 20% border tax, we would have to immediately increase our prices by 20% to allow profitability. Death is not an option.

One important facet of this that the "If I can't see it from my porch it doesn't exist" American social conservatives don't grasp is that big American corporations like Apple and Caterpillar need exports more than they need a bigger share of the US market. Start a serious trade war, and there goes all their business in high-growth areas. Bye bye stock prices! Samsung would be very happy about it though!

Oh, and there's the pesky little business about the global reserve currency (US$). That would go away and fast, as the dollar spikes up to compensate for the BAT. A US that doesn't want trade would lose the right for all Oil deals (etc, etc) to be priced in $US, which has effectively been a tax on global trade payable to the US for decades. The economic upheaval just from that change would be EYUGE... But of course the social conservatives don't grasp economics any more than they do trade.

Quote from trackker:
Here are five of the top reasons tariffs are used:

Protecting Consumers
A government may levy a tariff on products that it feels could endanger its population. For example, South Korea may place a tariff on imported beef from the United States if it thinks that the goods could be tainted with disease.

No. If that was the situation, you would want a ban, not a tariff.

20% more expensive poison will still kill you.

Actually lets go back a few years.
Clinton left Dub-ya a balanced budget. What was the very first thing Dub-ya did? Started passing out tax cuts to the rich, hand over fist.

Our roads & bridges were in disrepair at that point. That's when the I35 bridge fell into the Mississippi in DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS! Maybe that should have been his FIRST clue.

Instead he gave more tax cuts to all the people who didn't need them. We were all supposed to get trickled on again. How'd that work?

Then he started a war in THE WRONG COUNTRY. That bunker found with billions of American money was supposed to pay for that war. Instead that money disappeared faster than a magicians rabbit - but somehow a whole lot of people in Dub-ya's cabinet became BILLIONAIRES.

If that wasn't enough debt, he then put the WORLD ECONOMY on the brink of destruction, crashed the housing market & printed over a TRILLION dollars because his Wall Street banker buddies demanded it - in 3(!!!) days.

That money was supposed to help the people struggling to keep their homes after most of us LOST OUR JOBS, but it didn't.
Why??? Because Dub-ya handed over that money with ZERO regulations attached to it. So the CEO's that bundled up your granny's retirement portfolio & sold it for pennies on the dollars claimed your GRANNY'S retirement as THEIR loss.
Now millions of grannies have no retirement plan, but the CEO's who came up with this "scheme" didn't get fired or go to prison, they gave themselves multi million dollar bonuses for f-ing everyone over (the government AND the tax payers) & they're still doing it.

Now we (all of us except the top 2%) are still paying for DUB-YA'S WAR which CREATED ISIS & his Wall Street buddies who became even richer.

Obama took office, stopped the impending GREAT RECESSION & tried to get the Wall Street banks to comply with helping homeowners with the HARP program. As it turns out, those greedy MF's again padded their pockets even more & studies found out that less than 10% went to reducing the principal of "underwater property", but no regulations because YOUR republican congress wouldn't put any regulations on these crooks.

Now you've got chump. He wants to gut any & all programs that help the middle class & very poor by 800(!!!) BILLION DOLLARS to end up with a savings of 119 BILLION dollars over 10 years. Where does he want that 800(!!!) BILLION dollars to go??? Right back to the hands of the crooks who collapsed the economy while Dub-ya was in office.

Please let me know how any of you patsies think it's going to turn out any differently THIS TIME AROUND???
Explain to me, just how stupid are you???

In the mean time, chump has blown through an entire years worth of the "security budget" in his first 3 months. Who do you think is picking up the tab for that?

And I won't even start on the daily scandals this fool is causing himsel on a daily basis.

He didn't "drain the swamp" - he added to it with liars & cheaters & people who don't have a clue what their own job is. But it's okay because they're all former Wall Street thugs, right?

Fish, the problem with people like you is... you feel like you have to try and prove a point or try and put somebody down with every comment you make.

So what? I said don't trust a German- you don't know what context I said or meant it only known personally to me-- but hey, if it makes you feel so good as to try and be a smartass at every turn, Knock yourself out!

You people that shoot your mouths off here in the forum better get up every day and have a good breakfast before you start shooting your mouths off, because I am here strictly to challenge the comments of idiots who shoot their mouths off.

I found my niche! And you idiots make my job here easy!
