From "Reasons Why The Ecclesiastical OT Books (Apocrypha) Not Canonica"
https://DateHookup.dating/thread-1470399.htm
"The Jewish canon, or the Hebrew Bible, was universally received, while the Apocrypha added to the Greek version of the Septuagint were only in a general way accounted as books suitable for church (ecclesiastical) reading & thus as a middle class between canonical & strictly apocryphal (pseudonymous) writings. And justly; for those books, while they have great historical value & fill the gap between the OT & the NT, all originated after the CESSATION of prophecy & they cannot therefore be regarded as inspired, nor are they ever cited by Christ or the apostles" (Philip Schaff, History of the Christian Church, book 3, chapter 9)
I don't care what Phil Schaff says, there is no evidence that tells us "prophecy" has ceased. I don't follow Phil Schaff, I follow Jesus and the Scriptures.
CLV Rom 12:6 Now, having graces excelling, in accord with the grace which is given to us, whether prophecy, exercise it in accord with the analogy of the faith;
CLV 1Cor 12:10 yet to another operations of powerful deeds, yet to another prophecy, yet to another discrimination of spirits, yet to another species of languages, yet to another translation of languages.
Prophecy is alive and well even today.
Not one of them is in the Hebrew language, which was alone used by the inspired historians & poets of the OT.
I have found over 350 Apocryphal books, both of the OT and NT. Many of them are in Ancient Hebrew.
It seems this guy hasn't got a clue about what the Apocryphal literature is.
The apocrypha contains offensive materials unbecoming of God's authorship.
CLV Jdg 16:1 And Samson goes to Gaza, and sees there a woman, a harlot, and goes in unto her;
CLV Gn 35:22 And coming is it, when Israel tabernacles in that land, that going is Reuben and lying with Bilhah, his father's concubine. And hearing of it is Israel, and evil appears it in his eyes.
CLV Isa 20:4 so shall the king of Assyria lead the captives of Egypt, and the deportation of Ethiopia, youths and elders, naked and barefoot, with bared buttock, the nakedness of Egypt.
CLV Ss 4:5 Your two breasts are like two fawns, Twins of a gazelle that graze among the anemones.
CLV Ss 7:8 I said, Let me ascend into the date palm; Let me take hold of its topmost branches. Oh that your breasts may become like the clusters of the vine, And the scent of your nose like apricots,
It seems that the Bible has a different idea of what is "offensive material" that what this guy has.
