And if Trump claims EP then it gives every impression that he has something to hide, doesn't it? And, in fact, claiming EP could be a death blow to his presidency, couldn't it? The Acting FBI Director, the Acting Attorney General, Coates and the General already said there was no EP in force for them, they just insulted the Senate Intelligence Committee by refusing to answer non classified questions in public. Is Sessions going to play the same tune and further diminish the authority of the Senate Oversight Committee thus be another 'dismantling' of American democracy that Trump promised on the campaign trail? Should all these department heads be legally charged with contempt of Congress and be sanctioned, and should any further Trump appointees be denied appointment until the Senate Intelligence Committee investigation questions are satisfied?

I expected more "that's not permissible in open session" kind of answers, actually. Got some of those as well. All in all, as usual for these highly publicized things, all of the mass media predicted "bombshells" were not to be found. Just the usual extra-firm statements about how "I would never!" and "I'm sorry, that's classified."
