I agree that losing a pet is so hard. It is wonderful to remember all the love we were able to share.
I have an american c*cker spaniel. One day years ago, I found her and her daughter outside my yard. I never did find their original owner. They had been out in the desert for a while. They were malnourished and had patches of fur missing from that. We had a vet come and we made sure we got them back to wellness. We tried to have them adopted by a forever family, but nobody wanted to adopt them both together. We felt like they had been through too much together to live apart. We weren't looking to have another pet as we were still in mourning over the death of our Beagle.
My beagle lived for many years. She lived a long life, but losing her was like losing a family member. I am sorry to hear of anyone that loses a loved pet. It is beautiful that we get to experience the love they give to us though. The death of my c*cker spaniel's daughter was unexpected. She was a schnauzer c*cker mix. I miss her so much.

I used to wake up with huge scratches on my legs lol. Yeah not enough vitamin d made them itchy but turns out I only scratched in my sleep. Was oddd
