While my friends families were jetting off to one of the Disney's, my parents were taking us as far north as the roads would go in Canada.

Now I understand why my parents enrolled me in French classes in 5th grade - so I could translate on our vacations!

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – As I walked my two dogs through my aggressively progressive Alexandria, Virginia, neighborhood Wednesday morning, past dozens of lawn signs reading "Hate Has No Home Here" and "No Matter Where You Are From, We Are Glad You Are Our Neighbor" (in English, Spanish and Arabic), a radical left-wing activist was shooting at Republican congressmen a few blocks away.

The irony was incredible. Or was it?

No I'm saying people have never thought as a whole. There have been times when I've seen America as Great but I know it was great for me at the time but not many others.

I am proud and happy to be an American. I will always think America is great no matter the current situation at hand. What I mean is WHEN HAS THE GENERAL CONSENSUS OF US AS A WHOLE AND AS AMERICANS EVER BEEN "GREAT". Someone will always be pissed about Something and changes will always be beneficial to some and negative for others, that's one of the few cons of a free society.

Maybe making the minimum wage a livable wage instead of rewarding the CEO's who are only getting more rich because they refuse to pay their workers enough to live on, while they reep all the profits off the backs of their slave labor workers.

Make the minimum wage a livable wage & average young people could start there, do their job well & move up in the chain of command - instead of getting "trickled" on.

It's been a proven fact that when the average worker is paid a decent wage ALL of that money goes right back into the economy & the economy does far better.

Not everyone is college material. There's nothing wrong with learning how to be a plumber or an electrician or a carpenter. Just pay these people enough to survive on & give them raises that keep up with the cost of living.

Some people are fools & use credit cards to go on vacations they can't afford & buy items they don't need but most of the people I know with credit card debt haven't done stupid shit like that.
My friends have credit card debt from medical expenses, an emergency house or car repair & things they just can't afford because they don't get paid enough to have that little nest egg anymore.

Meanwhile the top 2% have such a big nest egg, they need to buy/build bigger trees to put their nests in.

And that messy closet you speak of, do you think that putting the big bankers & the Wall Street crooks in as cabinet members would help clean out that closet or just add more shit to it?

During those cabinet appointee hearings there wasn't one single nominee who wasn't caught in a lie about money or taxes or having off shore accounts or receiving illegal tax breaks.

If you people honestly wanted to pay this countries debt down you wouldn't have elected a fool who adds millions to it at the expense of YOUR children.

If the people who could afford tax hikes paid for tax hikes, this country could be debt free in 2 years. Hell, I could fix that budget in 6-12 months.

Healthcare? Whatever these fools put into place for the 98% should be the same healthcare that the politicians live on. I guaran-damn-tee you, they wouldn't be cutting any corners then.
