At least 44 people have been shot across Chicago, four of them fatally, as the city heads into Sunday night of the Fourth of July weekend. Last year’s Independence Day weekend ended with 66 people shot — a total that actually stoked cautious optimism with the lowest death toll for the July 4 weekend in nearly a decade. On Saturday, Chicago Police touted a 14 percent decline in shootings this year compared to the first six months of 2016, and they hope to tamp down the holiday weekend violence with the help of a new gun violence strike force that includes ATF agents. At least 1,781 people have been shot in the city this year, 310 of them fatally, according to data maintained by the Chicago Sun-Times.

When Gaddafi angered American capitalism by moving forward with a plan to lessen Africa's dependence on US dollars, America killed him. When American capitalists began drooling over Iraqi oil wealth, they killed more than a million Iraqis in the attempt to get their hands on all of that wealth. When Syria refused to let American capitalists in on his pipeline wealth, America employed a terrorist proxy army to kill lots of Syrians in the effort to remove Assad and replace him with a puppet who will do what American capitalists tell him.

Remember, some of those insects are the size of basketballs. And they're everywhere. Crocodiles are everywhere, too. You can't so much as play tennis without crocodiles attacking you. Every Walmart parking lot is just crawling with crocodiles. People get eaten on the way into Walmart so often that it's no longer newsworthy. Crocodiles are in every backyard and they are vicious. They eat your children for a mid-afternoon snack. And the humidity is 99% only on the milder days. So stay the f**k home!!!!!! Don't come to Florida! You are not welcome!

FRANK Fenner doesn't engage in the skirmishes of the climate wars. To him, the evidence of global warming is in. Our fate is sealed.
"We're going to become extinct," the eminent scientist says. "Whatever we do now is too late."
Fenner is an authority on extinction. The emeritus professor in microbiology at the Australian National University played a leading role in sending one species into oblivion: the variola virus that causes smallpox.
And his work on the myxoma virus suppressed wild rabbit populations on farming land in southeastern Australia in the early 1950s.
He made the comments in an interview at his home in a leafy Canberra suburb. Now 95, he rarely gives interviews. But until recently he went into work each day at the ANU's John Curtin School of Medical Research, of which he was director from 1967 to 1973.
Decades after his official retirement from the Centre for Resource and Environmental Studies, which he set up in 1973, he continued a routine established when he was running world-class facilities while conducting research.
He'd get to work at 6.30am to spend a couple of hours writing textbooks before the rest of the staff arrived.
Fenner, a fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and of the Royal Society, has received many awards and honours. He has published hundreds of scientific papers and written or co-written 22 books.
His deep understanding of evolution has never diminished his fascination with observing it in the field. That understanding was shaped by studies of every scale, from the molecular level to the ecosystem and planetary levels.
His biological perspective is also geological.
He wrote his first papers on the environment in the early 1970s, when human impact was emerging as a big problem.
He says the Earth has entered the Anthropocene. Although it is not an official epoch on the geological timescale, the Anthropocene is entering scientific terminology. It spans the time since industrialisation, when our species started to rival ice ages and comet impacts in driving the climate on a planetary scale.
Fenner says the real trouble is the population explosion and "unbridled consumption".
The number of Homo sapiens is projected to exceed 6.9 billion this year, according to the UN. With delays in firm action on cutting greenhouse gas emissions, Fenner is pessimistic.
"We'll undergo the same fate as the people on Easter Island," he says. "Climate change is just at the very beginning. But we're seeing remarkable changes in the weather already.
"The Aborigines showed that without science and the production of carbon dioxide and global warming, they could survive for 40,000 or 50,000 years. But the world can't. The human species is likely to go the same way as many of the species that we've seen disappear.
"Homo sapiens will become extinct, perhaps within 100 years," he says. "A lot of other animals will, too. It's an irreversible situation. I think it's too late. I try not to express that because people are trying to do something, but they keep putting it off.
"Mitigation would slow things down a bit, but there are too many people here already."
In 1980, Fenner had the honour of announcing the global eradication of smallpox to the UN's World Health Assembly. The disease is the only one to have been eradicated.
Thirty years after that occasion, his outlook is vastly different as he contemplates the chaos of a species on the brink of mass extinction.
"As the population keeps growing to seven, eight or nine billion, there will be a lot more wars over food," he says.
"The grandchildren of today's generations will face a much more difficult world."

LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) — Violent crime is on the rise across the Las Vegas valley and there are alarming new statistics that prove that fact. According to police, the murder rate has jumped more than 100 percent over last year.
So far in 2016, there have been 60 murders in Metro's jurisdiction. That's compared to 28 this same time in 2015. Those numbers don't include the cities of Henderson, North Las Vegas or Boulder City.

I lived in Florida for 10 years, and I worked for the Florida Dept of Corrections. Don't go! It is a hot stinking rat hole full of dangerous people. It has the most violent kinds of crimes with a major penal facility in every county.
The beaches are full of drunks and drug dealers. They are dirty covered with broken beer bottles and miscellaneous garbage from all the hillbillies who visit from the neighboring rat hole states.
Only the edges might be worth visiting, since the interior is scrub pine trees, bugs, snakes, and alligators. If you really want an exciting time, visit Miami! Get a burial plot before you go! If you are a f*g, make sure you visit South Beach. I think Jizzface vacations there!
Instead, come to Beautiful Ohio, the land of the grand!

Indeed! Keep this in mind, snowbirds: a sleeping man literally disappeared without a trace -- as in dead body never even recovered -- when the corner of his home collapsed into a sinkhole in Seffner, Florida (just outside of Tampa).
WARNING: KEEP OUT OF FLORIDA! Florida natives don't want you here! The sinkholes don't want you here. The mosquitoes don't want you here. The huge, basketball-sized bugs don't want you here. The hurricanes don't want you here. The alligators don't want you here. The 100% humidity doesn't want you here. Where 50,000 Guns Recovered in Chicago Came From
The Chicago Police Department traced the origins of about 50,000 guns that it recovered between 2001 and March 2012.
More than half of those guns came from outside the state

Close Ties to Mississippi
More than 4,000 guns were traced to Mississippi, especially in the rural, western part of the state, more than any outside state other than Indiana. During the migration of families from the South in the 1940s and 1970s, Chicago was a top destination, according to James N. Gregory, a history professor at the University of Washington. In 1970 there were more people from Mississippi living in Illinois than in all other Southern states. Family ties may help explain why many guns bought in Mississippi ended up in Chicago.

Reagan didn't even know Obama!
What Reagan did probably wasn't widely abused and racist, that's why no one really made a big deal about it...
But what Obama did was make it his own and give it to any liberal who could fog a mirror and of voting age.

What Obama did was give people free CELL PHONES, to sell drugs and to keep in contact for other nefarious liberal scams like BLM and the likes.
Big difference between a HOME phone and a CELL phone... One implies that the recipient even HAS A HOME / FAMILY.
So let's be responsible and state the FACTS as they are.
Doesn't change the fact that none of these phones resolve the issues these types of people have on fathers day.

Eh... There are lots of "Home" telephone lines, both analog and ViOP...
But the HOME telephone program was never abused like the cell phone program.
I don't know why you a laughing, but I am almost positive you don't even get it...

Are you suggesting that minority households without a father are on the rise or decline since the Reagan era?
If you are suggesting that the amount of minority households that now have a cell phone is on the rise, you would be right. But you missed the point... There is a correlation to that, do you see it?
