Have you ever seen ludlow post this or something similar?
Cupocheer, did you know that without the Catholic Church there would be no Bible today?
Everything in the Bible, at least in the New Testament, was added---added by the Catholic Church at the Council of Hippo.
What do you think, that God just dropped the Bible out of the sky one day?
2. Why believe in the New Testament at all if you don't believe in the Catholic Church? Don't you know that it was the Catholic Church that put the New Testament together in the first place, at the Council of Hippo in 393 a.d.?
Of course, it is not true.
Many Catholics might believe it, but that doesn't make it true either.
Starting with the OT, the Catholic church had nothing to do with it's creation. As proof, there are many versions of the OT that were put together by Israel and the Jews. Probably the best example is the Tanakh. It contains all of the books of the OT and was put together hundreds of years before Jesus came and before there was ever a hint of a Catholic church.
And yet there are Catholics who want to take credit for the OT.
But the NT was not created by the Catholic church either. ludlow tells us that the Bible originated at the Council of Hippo in 393 A. D. And yet some of the Ancient Greek manuscripts have been tested and dated as earlier than that. As much as about 50 years or more earlier.
How could the Catholic church create the Bible in 393 A. D. if it existed before then?
We don't really know who put the Bible together. Probably Constantine. But we do know it was not the Catholic church. Although I am sure the church that later called itself Catholic may have had a hand in it, as well as many others.
The RCC is indeed above all others because it was founded by Christ. Outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation.
Jesus founded the Catholic Church.
There is no evidence that Jesus founded the Catholic church. Jesus did begin a church, but the word "catholic" is mysteriously missing. Peter was not put in charge of His church. Peter might have been looked up to for guidance. But I am sure all the apostles were venerated this way.
Our salvation is not found in any church, but in God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
CLV John 14:6 Jesus is saying to him, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one is coming to the Father except through Me.
There is no such thing as "original biblical manuscript".
Of course, there are. How else would our Bible today exist? We don't have the original Bible manuscripts. But they must have existed at some point in history.
And by the Church of course I mean the Catholic Church, all other so-called churches being man-made and false.
But doesn't every church believe this? We are right and all else are wrong?
I tend to believe that anyone who says this is wrong.
--Jesus Christ, Savior of the world and Founder of the Catholic Church (Matthew 11:28)
CLV Mt 11:28 Hither toward Me, all who are toiling and laden, and I will be giving you rest.
I am not sure how ludlow figures this to be a back-up for a Catholic origin of His church. Again, the word "catholic" seems to be missing. But there is certainly no mention of any church being called "catholic."
Bible: says unrepentant sinners will be punished.
Here is another doctrine that Catholics here have not been able to prove. All mankind will be saved so says the Scriptures...
CLV Ro 11:32 For God locks up all together in stubbornness, that He should be merciful to all.
CLV 1Ti 2:4 Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth.
CLV 1Ti 4:10 (for this are we toiling and being reproached), that we rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers.
Here are three Bible verses that deal with the Salvation of all mankind, and the words "unrepentant sinners" are not mentioned.
There are many things that the Catholic church falsely tells us. Catholic scholars will swear by these false doctrines. But can we truly say that Mary is the mother of God? Or that the bread and wine we use for communion literally turns into Jesus' body and blood?
Any other crazy Catholic notions?
