Yes. FWB relationships aren't for everybody. But they can work for some people in certain situations. I had a successful FWB relationship right after I got divorced. It satisfied what I was looking for at the time.

I agree. I had some FWB relationships that worked out well for me. There were instances when I wanted some type of sexual relationship. But I wasn't ready or available for a serious LTR.

I had multiple successful FWB relationships. Sometimes I had just recently ended a LTR and don't want to get into another LTR right away or I was preoccupied with other things in my life. Therefore a FWB relationship was ideal for me in these situations. I also think some women will get into a FWB relationship secretly hoping that it would lead to something more. A FWB probably wouldn't work in that situation.

I agree with both summer and bizwoman. FWB relationships aren't for everybody. But they can work for some women ( like myself ) in the right situation and when both people are upfront about their true intentions.

I have. Like others have mentioned, there were instances when I was not ready or available for a LTR. A FWB provided me with what I was looking for at the time.

I'm with lakc. I am having a hard time w/ my FWB. I seem to get emotionally attached and falling for him. I always do this when I have a FWB. My FWB and I get along awesome and always had a connection from the moment we 1st met- we were just friends first(which is a great thing). He has so much going on in his life at the moment. I would love for it to be more. I know he likes me alot too. Only time will tell, but in the meantime, I am keeping my options opened.

Yes I did have some successful FWB relationships. For example, I had a FWB relationship after a breakup. I wasn't ready to have another serious relationship at that point in my life. Like others have mentioned FWBs wouldn't work for everybody. But they can work for some people. Both people need to be honest about their intentions and follow any rules that were made.

FWB - my male friend doesnt consider it that. But that is what it feels like. He insists it isnt but then I see him on the dating site and he contacted a friend of mine and asked if she'd like to meet him (not knowing I knew her of course). During the messaging back and forth he admitted to her that he is with someone but doesnt want to fall in love with her (me) at this point in time and that he is still looking around. My heart of course is broken. I fell in love with him almost a year ago. We are in contact with each other daily and see each other 3-4 times a week. Not sure what to do at this point. I would have to agree with others ... fwb sucks!

I have had one for the past 7 years. We are great friends, but could never be anything more due to conflicting lifestyles. I know everything about him and vice versa. I suggest if you do consider it, however, that you know him/her on a decent level. You sadly can't trust people these days. Good luck in whatever you do!

I used to like this but honestly now I don't do it.

Due to feelings, STD's, HIV, etc. I'm really scared to be catching anything. Sure the guy say they use condoms and only have so many but in all honestly are they telling the truth? Most guys will say anything to get you into bed.

there is absolutly nothing wrong with haveing friends with benifits so long as you both are in agreement that when one of you gets married or has someone else that you stop and can at least remaine friends

Yes. Like others have mentioned, it can work for some people if both people involved are upfront about their feelings and follow any rules that were set prior to the beginning of the relationship.

Yeah did it for like 4 months, thought I could handle it, but I really couldnt..I'm a Taurus and tend to be jealous and possessive... I knew he was looking for women on other websites and not answering his phone or texts on Sat nites. ALso, not treating me with respect, so I then knew it was time to say C-Ya, which I did and moved on....So glad I did.

I was asked to be a friend w benefits after the guy had emailed me that we were breaking up. It hurt me so badly and I told him that I couldn't do that. I already had feelings for him. We later got back together and he asked me to move in with him. It was good till the last month, when he started treating me differently and texted me one night from work that it wasn't working. I moved out 2 days later. Hurt twice! Now he is texting me telling me he has needs and wanting to know if I know anyone who could take care of that for him. Told him I didn't know anyone that I would do that too!!!! Haven't heard from him since. 3rd times a charm. Sad thing is, I still had feelings for him, but knew he would just keep hurting me. So NO to benefits!!!!

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW -
You were far to polite to even give a reply.

Or, you could have told him . . . mosey on down to the red light district, make sure you bring your wallet.
