I read and recommend the Honorverse books specifically but basically anything by David weber and anything by W.E.B Griffin. Eric Flint and John Ringo are both excellent authors as well

If you like series, try 'Dune' lots of books and awesome storytelling takes you up, up and far away. I also read novels by Lee Child - his latest news is a book or 2 will be made into movies

I know this might be dumb, but definitely read either Elizabeth Scott or Sarah Dessen. It's meant for teens but the books are so relateable. Every time I read one, it really makes me appreciate life. Definitely try any of their books. They all have a decent meaning. And if you want to read a really intense book that's somewhat disturbing but makes you really appreciate life, try reading " the Living Dead Girl". Such an amazing heart breaking but wonderful book.

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. A story of jealousy, revenge, love, retribution, and hindsight. Excellent read and my personal favorite. Not for those who do not have time to spare unfortunately.
I loved the count of monte cristo! Red badge of Courage is an interesting read, by Stephen Crane, also Brave New World by Huxley was a fascinating read. For fantasy I really liked Battlefield Earth. And Stephen Kings Dark Tower series is an engaging read. If you like a good laugh Post Office by Charles Bukowski or if you want to remember your younger days Youth In Revolt by Cd Payne is good times. Feeling reflective? Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut. So many great books, so little time.
