Well....????
I have my own views on life after death. They are very simple and based upon personal spiritual experiences.
In my opinion, we will first lose consciousness. Shortly there after we will regain consciousness of a spiritual form. IF we are prepared for it, then we will be in tune with the universe and realize that it is just a spiritual and non-physical plane of existence that we are going into. Physical matter is virtually irrelavent. It exists but isn't physically binding. Time seems endless...
But there are dangers too, because other evil entities exist out there and you are NOT under any god like protection! There is no mercy in the spiritual realm, just as it is here on earth, in the physical dimension. Also, as a energy/spirit form, travel and distance is not really an issue considering that you can travel at the speed of light!
Souls can get trapped into their own dimension of an earth bound physical plane and this explains the number of hauntings and ghostly activity. If one is not prepared or worse fooled by religious ideals, then they will certainly be tricked by dark forces!
So what do you think and why?

Just because I don't believe there is a god, doesn't mean I don't believe in the spirit world. Had I not seen a ghost/spirit or two in my lifetime, or had an experience that I should not have lived through without someone watching over me, I might not believe.
Don't know about the demons or evil entities, but, that would pretty much be the same as it is here on earth, evil people everywhere and we're not under any protection here either.

When you die, you're dead.
Nothing happens for the person that died, for their brains no longer work.
Without a working brain, you cannot have a mind.
Without a mind, you have no conscience.
Therefore, life would be just the way it was before you were conceived.
Nothingness.
Except you get to enjoy one less thing:
There's nothing to look forward to, unlike before you were born.
Do you really believe in that crazy scenario you gave.
I mean, seriously?

Remember how it was 20 years before you were born? That's where you will go when you die.

The entity known as "you" ceases to exist as it becomes part of a "one" consciousness.
? ?
Maybe you should ask that a**hole that keeps haunting me.

Your body rots in the ground or is burned in a furnace or shoved in a tomb to rot.

You cease to exist on a consciousness level. Following that you slowly cease to exist on a physical level.
It's unlikely you go on to anything. Even if you did you would no longer be the 'you' that you are now. You would have no memories, goals, dreams or what have you. You would be nothing more than a burst of energy that disipates.
