I was there a couple times the winter of 07 bringing over the Mraps on the russian AN124's, Seemed I always got stuck there spending days tying to get out to bring another load. Not like in Iraq where I'd be in and out within a day so that I could bring another the next week.
That tent city in Kuwait was a trip. Cold at night and hot in the day but the rec center wasn't to bad with a lot to do but to loud. manuvering around all the trenches and cement blockaids was something else, even just to get to the chow hall. LOL
That fist sized ground rock for road ways was hard to walk on, bad on the ankles and knees for this old man
I'll never forget the blacked out buses in convoy with the shooters going to town what a joke
