Not quite what you're doing, though I do a lot of both heavy and light commercial modeling in mainly 1:24/25 scale. I built a '53 Ford pickup as a 1-ton w/9 scale ft. flatbed and a '65 Chevy 1/2 ton w/ flatbed and front mounted winch. I also have in the works a tanker body that I'm making from a cut down Fuel Transport trailer to be mounted on a Ten Wheeler, though I haven't decided what cab and chassis it's to go on. A few years ago, I built a hopper bottom grain trailer using the suspension and landing gear from the aforementioned Transport trailer kit and scratchbuilding the rest. Some pickup projects I have planned for the future include scratchbuilding some utility beds and wrecker units.
