I will be going to New Orleans for the Steelers/Saints game over Halloween. I have been once before but didn't get to see much. Any off the wall places I must see? So I plan on the following:

The Rum Distillery
A tour of the oldest cemetery
The Voodoo museum
Art in the Park
Cafe du Monde - but of course
The Halloween Krewe
Most of the alleged haunted bars
Possibly taking in the Trombone Shorty show - love, love, love this band!!!!

Any other suggestions?

I am not interested in the casinos and I have already been to the aquarium.

We are skipping the Voodoo Music Experience because we don't want to spend entire chunks of time at the music festival - although I love, love, love music festivals.

Is anyone else going to be there that weekend?

i would love to be there. Went many years ago.
The Voodoo museum is a must. Make sure you have a penny for the pot. I only had a silver coin. I threw it in but i think it was the only one of its kind. I will envy your visit.

So....I just found out yesterday that there's a joint service/rebuilding project planned for the Steelers and Saints fans on Saturday in New Orleans. I'm so excited! It's only from 1-4, it's the least I can do! I can't wait!!!!
