Oh to be young and idealistic again. I just can't do the long distance thing. How can two people get to know each other if the potential to get together is weeks apart? I like the idea of total honesty, but how can you ever be sure when you can't know how the person lives from day to day? Not judging, just explaining why I can't do it.

So true, newlady. In any case it takes time and being around someone under different circumstances to know them. How far is too far away? I realize that differs for everyone. Maybe that's another topic. Just curious about what you think. Anyone?

That would be a good topic for discussion. I haven't seen many here within 25 miles of me, and very few near my age. Fortunately though, I don't mind an occassional long drive when I know there's a pretty lady at the end of that drive.

My words could wander but better stick to the topic.... In my opinion.....and I have been known to be wrong. Some of each gender are truly looking for a partner/ friend in life.. Some say life i spassing bye... I don't think so ..I can't afford to dwell on what may not happen..but hope that something will.

yeah easternncguy i know how u feel i don't like those long way apart relationships either. i on't think u really get too know that person untill u spend time together, it takes two people too work on getting too know each other, what there likes and dislikes.

I've been on [blocked site] and this one and as far as I can tell; there is no one serious about life on either one but if you wan to treat them like crap they are all over you

Well, I came to this site to hopefully meet someone, may it be friend or other. (Hopefully other) So far, I haven't had any luck. Are men really here to meet someone? I see that there isn't alot on the thread sites. I find also that there are some men that are out to scam someone. Has anyone had such an experience? I now find myself leary of the men that send an e-mail. Are there any down right honest men out there that wants to really meet a good woman? Oh well, I'll keep looking.

As I have explained many times, This time around I place my partner in God’s Hands. He knows who she is, and with my faith in Him, the hills and valleys will be moved and filled in and the means will be provided. My human shallowness has an age range, size range, appearance range, and distance range. I know I have to step above my shallow box and venture about. Yes this sight can be faith challenging, I have been getting frustrated. There are truly only a few that fit the criteria of the woman I am looking for. I have showed my interest in them but they have showed little interest in me other than friends. I myself have been guilty, sad that even as God intervenes how picky we humans can be. One I thought fit at least 95% lives in NY but if she moves it will be West to be with her boys, and she shows little interest in me other that that of friends. I myself can not move from here until I at least accomplished the work The Lord sent me here to do. So it is a catch 20 situations, however The Lord will provide.

Well in my case, I work 24/7. I have a full time job that sometimes requires OT, and then I have my children to take care of when I get home. It's your basic, work, eat and sleep routine, so having time to go out and meet people, is just not in the cards for me. I meet people everyday at work, since I'm in retail, but comon now, not quite the same thing
I'm serious, otherwise I wouldn't have wasted my time in joining 
I just wish more people would actually take the time to "type" something on their profiles. I figure the ones that don't put details down are the ones that aren't as serious as some of the rest of us are.
