I've been on a little bit of a zombie kick lately.
Rewatched Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness series not too long ago.
Then I got my hands on a copy of the book "World War Z" by Max Brooks and tore through that in 2 nights.
I noticed Brooks has written some other zombie novels, and I'll probably pick one or two more of his up, but I was curious:
Would any of you be able to suggest some other books and authors that deal with this particular sub-genre of horror?

Try:
Plague of the Dead by ZA Recht
Thunder and Ashes by ZA Recht
Day by Day Armageddon
The Rising by Brian Keene
Recht's books read like zombie movies. All the classic stuff you've seen before mixed into a great story of survival.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies also comes in a graphic novel version.
If you're looking more for humor, I would recommend "So Now You're a Zombie: A Handbook for the Newly Undead" by John Austin or "The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead" by Max Brooks.
If you want a more interesting point of view, "A Zombie Apocalypse" by Keith Adam Luethke is actually really good.
If you're looking more for Zombies with...sex appeal? I'd go for "Zombie Fallout" by Mark Tufo.
Both of the last two could have definitely been edited much better, but they're still good reads.
Also, have you seen Shaun of the Dead? It's probably my favorite zombie movie...even though it's more making fun of zombie movies than anything.

Thanks for all the book ideas.
Will make sure to check some of them out.
btw: zombies and sex appeal = pretty gross.
And Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorite comedies, love the scene in the backyard when they're tossing the old LPs at the zombies.
Also up there is Zombieland. When dude shot Bill Murray, and Bill was all "No problem, it was my bad." I just about died laughing.
