I think humor. But they have to be able to balance it. To serious or biteing and they are no fun. If they are always making a joke and never serious it is overwhelming.

Brains!! (not like a zombie wants brains. LOL). But I am attracted to intelligence and interest in the pursuit of knowledge just for the rush of learning something new every day. And it doesn't mean the fellow has to hold a handful of college degrees either. Anybody can quest and thirst for knowledge. My Grandfather was an immigrant with no formal education, and he was a brilliant, self-taught man who ran several businesses.
Personally, humor is subjective and more often then not, cultural in Utah. I don't want a jokester because I'm likely going to get defensive if I don't find his jokes funny.
I prefer to sit down over breakfast (Johanna's Kitchen) and linger over coffee after, and just talk and get the feel of the other person's sense of himself and the world. Don't try to impress me and don't try to be funny.
One other thing, BE CLEAN!! Show up like you really cared about meeting. That's respectful.

I agree with it needing to be a balance. All is important but what I find more and more important is communication. How that person communicates is sooooooooooo important to me. If they talk and talk and don't seem to stop and listen. Or if the leave out important information. I need to trust them and what they say to me.

The unexpected is my favorite thing about a person.
Looks can be deceiving and change as you fall into or out of love, that being said-- looks can change and without mental attraction-- they won't mean anything.
Personality goes along ways, but without other attributes it cannot stand alone.
Humor most def a necessity, as life is one big frigging joke and to get through it, you must see the humor in it all, as well as your role.
It's the little things and the imperfections that make a person uniquely attractive to you.
and that's all I have to say about that...

To me a good personality with humor with definately compenate for someone who does not have the best of looks but, I wont settle for anyone who I am not attracted to or unheathly due to no zest or love of life.

Like a good genre of movies, books, its a personality type to only have a One singular "favorite." Mine always change
Within a person (gal), always the attitude (past mutual physical attraction) / personality. Sarcasm, quick witted, likes to think on stupid / deep stuff (rabbit hole on any subject). All rare in one gal.

I look at Personality, Humor, how they take care of themselves then how do they live as said cleanliness is next to   that can be a deal breaker.
looks are important its whats in ones and Mind ..Communication is key along with listening.. Compassionate_Caring & Sharing Someone that stands by you for better or worse}, Achievements,Goals & Knowledge..n more ..
