Springtime in Alberta???

When it’s springtime in Alberta
And the gentle breezes blow
About seventy miles an hour
And it’s fifty-two below,
You can tell you’re in Alberta
‘cause the snow’s up to your butt,
And you take a breath of Springtime air
And your noseholes both freeze shut.
The weather here is wonderful
So I guess I’ll hang around.
I could never leave Alberta
My feet are frozen to the ground!

How true! My van doors were frozen shut solid last night when I tried to go out about 9 pm!
Had to give up, short of getting a hair dryer and I wasn't that desperate for artichoke dip.
My neighborhood is quite hilly and we had lots of drifts! Thank goodness I have the teen to shovel.

Hey, Rose! that's child labour! Oh ya, forgot, law does allow for kids your son's age to work now, doesn't it?

Just read your response, 2blu - he already tried that line on me as well!
I told him when he got up at 4 a.m., and went to bed at midnight, and
in between that time, he worked - THAT is child labor! End of discussion -
guess he figured out the few chores he did were a bargain!

I tried that "child Labour" ploy when I was in elementary school & teacher told me to clean the blackboards. It didn't get a good reception then either.
