Please no attacking.

I just found out that my grand daughter, that has 2 kids being raised by my daughter [Her mother], is pregnant again. I have no friends and my whole family here is devastated, so I come to the only place that I can think of to say, I am in tears. I don't know what to say to her anymore.

I helped raise these girls and feel that as much as I tried to discourage them from having children they cannot afford or take care, it is all for naught. I just needed to unload and there is no place to unload.

Please, please try to understand that birth control needs to be free to those who cannot afford it. Stupid, self centered, bull headed people like this should not be having children. Do all you can to make sure that another family with such a wayward child should not have to go through the pain that we are feeling for these babies that will always know that their mother did not care enough to take care of them or even try.

Thanks for being my sounding board it does mean a lot when there is nowhere else to go.

Even though you are dead wrong on most all issues, you are still amoung friends here. Only a friend would tell you that. I am sorry for your distress. But I don't know why you feel you have to take it upon yourself as responcible. Regardless of you helping to raise her, it is nor never was your responability nor ability to keep her legs closed.

Though I believe kids are going to make mistakes, I also believe kids or anyone else for that matter will not learn from their mistakes if someone always steps in to save them. I am and always have been a believer in Tough Love. Why would you think that your granddaughter is going to stop having kids if she does not have to feel the pain of raising them?

Wasa, this is more about responcibility then birth control and especially Free birth control. A person can be on birth control and stop long enough to get pregnant. Just ask my X wife. This is about teaching kids responcibility, NOT how to depend on free this free that. If nothing else Wasa, this child is a produce of the way you think the world should be. I honestly am not dumping on you because it is not your fault but.

You claim that it is the people that are at cause of her getting knocked up because they are against FREE birth control? Have you given any thought to the family being responable in paying for the birth control? Have you given to thought that she pay for it help self? Surely Illinois has a state health program. Where are the dads of the other two? Make them pay for the two she has now.

Wasa, thank you for feeling you could come to us to consoul you but this so pisses me off. Wasa you have no one to blame but the very system you support. The "no responsable give me free stuff" system.

I truely am sorry for your situation. It is nobodys fault other then your granddaughters and she should be made to learn a hard lesson. "You are responcalbe for your actions." Besides now she can get on welfare and get her birth control free if not next to. However that does not mean that she will take them. Sounds like this girl has a deeper issue then figuring out she needs to keep her legs closed.

A month worth of birth control costs less than a couple packs of smoke or a 6 pack of good beer. I think it's about 9 bucks at Wal Mart or Walgreens.

Jb this is not about birth control free or other wise. This is nothing more then a child getting caught up in the very give me give me society wasa supports. Even if she had free birth control paid for by all others, she has NO concept of self responability nor self control. Not her fault totally. The society we live in and will continue to has only taught her she can be stupid and she will be taken care of.

Sure I agree with you. Wasa had my heart up until the word Free was ottered. That is when the blame game started. Blame socity and the dirty bastards that won't give us free stuff.

Totally untrue that I was blaming anyone but my grand daughter. I was only stating about the birth control because maybe it will be more easy to get dumb people to get it. My grand daughter was too lazy to get even the free stuff. She cannot get welfare because she did not follow the rules and she cannot get HUD housing because she would not clean her house. She cannot even get food stamps because she LOST her SS card and birth certificate. She stay with whatever guy she is seeing or friend until they kick her lazy butt out. Then she is on the streets.

My tears were not for her but for the Babies that will feel that Momma has given us away and she is getting a new baby. And of course her little girl adores her mother as most 4 year olds do. The only reason I even mentioned the birth control is because so many states are trying to close Planed Parenthood and that it would be even worse if more of the unwanted children are born.

I know what she is thinking, that she will find a man to take care of her and her kids. But she is not smart enough to realize that in her position the only men she even has interested in her are in the same position as she is in, street men.

I have never encouraged free stuff per say. Just that I get so sick of hearing how the poor are dragging us down and it is NOT the poor but the rich that are feeding off the system. The poor do not get enough to break America. But a $40 billion subsidy for the oil companies that the republicans refuse to eliminate feeds a lot of people if you think about it and that is just one business, oil, what about all of those companies that not only do not pay any taxes but actually receive refunds? To the tune of $67 billion for 30 companies that were looked at.

I just say how about a little honesty as to who is breaking our bank. And all the money that has been spent on the poor in the last 50 years does not add up to the $7 trillion that the fed secretly used to bail out the bankers. They are the ones that broke the bank not just here but all over the world. Just a bit of honesty would make your case much more influential.

I do feel for you. Watching all my kids and their friends, there is a blinding difference in thought between our generation and theirs. Maybe it is their youth and I forgot what it is to be young but it like its an all for me and my friends generation. Of five kids only one is married. Three have kids. No matter how old they are happy with dating. No interest in marriage or owning a house. Just be me, my job and play. Which is all good and fine as long as they stay out of my house but there is just something different.

I view some of the dating related forums for grin and can not believe the stupidest, simple problems these 20 years old have. It is plan to see they hav'nt a fricking mother humper clue about life and relationships. Blows my mind.

If states are trying to shut down Planned Parenthood is not because of birthcontrol, it is because the people of that state do not agree with abortion. It is to bad about all these unwanted children, perhaps the moms should lean to say no, but that is no reason for a baby has to die. If Planned Partenthood would do or also push child adoptions that would be different. Abortion is not about a womans body, it is about a woman not being responcible and a baby paying the price. Sure I know the rape think but that is apples to oranges.

My point here is wasa, is that it is about more then being poor it is our current (and past also,) government saying it is OK to be poor and irresponcable because we'll take care of you. We the government will cloth you, feed you, protect you in sex, house you. All you have to do is vote for us and sit back and enjoy the life WE provide you.

Whatever you do, don't blame yourself. It is her life and her choices. Yes, I too greef for the child.

I'm in Missouri at one of my plants and sitting here with two female security guards who just explained that in Barry County Missouri the health department offers the exam and birth control free and ask for donations if you can afford it. If not it's free.

If that is true around the country it appears not to be a medical or cost problem, but a behavior problem. Goes back to personal responsibility.

Once again I notice you overlooked all the failed solar companies who have recieved BILLIONS in actual funds not subsidys from your current administration. Money from the working peoples pocket that will never be seen again. Again wasa if you want to have credit here, address BOTH sides. Not just the ones who fit your agenda.

Maybe you should also take your own advice. I came here with a problem that at that moment in time I felt I could not handle by myself without expressing my feelings and what do I get? a lecture about lazy people wanting to live the good life of being the poorest people in the country. I am so tired, completely worn out, of hearing how you who have more than these people could ever even think of having b*tching about your having to pay taxes of which a small amount goes to the poor. You white men have more than 95% of the people in the world and yet are you grateful for what you have? Hell no all you can do is whine on and on no matter the subject.

You evidently are not aware that for the last 40 years white men in public offices have been complaining how the poor are too happy and love being on the edge of life. You have never lived there but you know a bunch of people driving 'better cars than you', 'being able to afford vacations' and have 'everything the working white man cannot afford'. You all are so far off reality that nothing anyone who has been there can say to you will change one tiny bit of your false reality.

I lived in the best state to be in on welfare in the late 60s and early 70s, CA, and even then it was it was hand to mouth with nothing left over for any of the goodies [I got welfare for a short time when my husband was laid up from a car accident for 6 months]. Since the 80s and Reagan's 'welfare queens' benefits for the poor have been cut over and over. Even medicare is cut several times in the last 6 years that I have been receiving it.

So can't you all find, at the least, a different line than they are glad to stay poor and do without the things that most people would never think of doing without. You are so boring just repeating the same old tired conservative lines for 40 years now.

What does it matter which party it is that steals from the taxpayers? I do not defend any of them but everytime I point out a problem you all got to come back with attack. Look what dems did. I do not know how many times I have had to say that I am a registered republican that people like you have turned against the republicans. You never even accept that your party has been the heartless party that only wants to help those who already have and make sure that those who are not so lucky in life pay big time for not being so lucky.

At least I can die knowing that I did not give up my heart and compassion for dollars. How much does it cost to buy your heart???

I'm sorry you find me boring. But I am boring because I have convictions and I stick to them. Sorry you do not agree with them. So what I say today I will also say this time next year when the GOP is in office. I am consistent.

Which GOP do I think would make a good pres? No one that is running I'm afraid. If I was to pick a person, it would be one of two, Allen West or Condalisa Rice. Maybe even Pat Paulsen.

How about Arnold Swartzennegger? He's an adulterer like Clinton, tough, rich, bet he can even kick Putin's butt in a brawl. Opps, he's not a natural born citizen....that's right, the one we have might not be either!

Have any older siters? How about your mom? Just kidding. So your mom worked the white house? Do tell more.

So you hail from Texas. Great state. One if not the only last remaining strong holds to the american way of life. I have been in texas on and off through my life. When I was a kid on vacations and then in the military at Ft. Hood. "Ft Hood is not Hell, but you can see it from here." That was our claim to Ft. Hood.

Myself and another couple guys rode our bicycles from Hood to Six Flags and back for a long weekend.

Tell us about yourself. Your background, politicial thoughts etc.

I'm born and raised in a corn field eating Kansas beef. I grew up in town but had grandparents that had a farm. Joined the army out of high school stayed til retired 25 years.Went to college. Now work as a civil engineer for a couple more years. Going to start up a business, not engineer related. Was raised in a catholic family of six kids. Mom stayed home and dad worked finishing hardwood floors til he had a heartache and doc told him to stop. He then went to school became a horticutrist, worked for the city parks and rec in the landscaping department and loved it. He and mom are still alive. 80 some years old each. Doing fine.
I've been married one had three girls, currently married with two step kids. Have 5 grandkids.

I started out young and dumb as a demo. Still registered as a demo only because I'm too lazy to go change it. Plus I want the demo's to think they have my vote in the bag. WRONG! I have 99% voted gop since I woke up to politics. I more lean independent any more because I have noticed both sides are out to screw the people.

I more lean independent any more because I have noticed both sides are out to screw the people.

thats all interesting (:

Which GOP do I think would make a good pres? No one that is running I'm afraid. If I was to pick a person, it would be one of two, Allen West or Condalisa Rice. Maybe even Pat Paulsen.

I see my forum has been taken over by people changing the subject totally.

Those people are not running for office. I am saying if you are not gonna vote for Obama then which person are you going to vote for or even recommend?

If you look back to the top of page two, you hijack it. I recommend anyone but Obama. To answer your question, I will vote anyone but obama. Meaning whoever gets the GOV, I will vote holding my nose. If its rummy. Yes I will vote for him even if he is Obama lite.

Assuming she is over 18, does she believe in abortion? Just wondering and not to make an arguement, where do you and your family stand on the issue and is that a possibility. I am against abortion except in extreme cases. I do not buy the womans body arguement. It is not her body being flushed down the toilet. With that said, prior to my first marriage my girlfriend got knocked up and she had an abortion. But it was because her mother did not want her friends to think that her daughter would be with child out of wedlock. That abortion did f**k up my wifes head for a long time.

No I nor her or her mother would consider abortion. I do not like abortion but I do not have the right, in my opinion, to tell a woman she has to carry a child she does not want and claim that her body is nothing more than an incubator.

I understand that completely. I hate being a taxpaying incubator supporter of other people's rediculous notions and decisions. Oh, well. We all hate something.
