The Beach Boys have covered the following songs: "Barabara Ann" (BB version good, original better), "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" (BB version horrible), "Summertime Blues" (BB version beats all other versions), "Do You Wanna Dance?" (BB version better than the original), "Hushabye" (Bb version and original version equally good), "Rock and Roll Music" (original better), and "California Dreamin' " (original better).
The following BB songs were covered by other acts: "California Girls" (D.L. Roth version better), "God Only Knows" (all non-BB versions horrible), "Help Me Rhonda" (all non-BB versions medocre at best), "Don't Worry Baby" (all non-BB versions horrible), and "Warmth of the Sun" (Willie Nelson version very, very good--almost as good as BB version.
Of course, all of this is my personal opinion only, and neither one of these lists pretends to be exhaustive.
