About Me |
Rushing into a relationship never gets anyone anywhere and generally ends in an awkward conversation. The best relationships are built out of a quality friendship first. One would think that finding a decent guy in NYC would be easy, but that's far from reality. I would love to find a normal down to Earth guy to grab a coffee with. Bars are cool as long as I don't feel like I'm in a typical Chelsea meat market. I only ask that you be masculine (I like men not girls), friendly (you should be able to start a conversation with any of my other friends), independent (you can't live off mommy and daddy), smart (politics and world events are great topics of conversation), funny (make me laugh and don't take life overly serious), mature and open to new possibilities.
I'm NOT a gym rat. I don't have a 30 inch waist and 6 pack abs myself and I NEVER WILL. Staying healthy is one thing, being fanatic is another. I always laugh at those who post posed body shots. It strikes me as odd when a 40 something year old feels that they need to show their abs in their profiles. To me that's the personification of gay. I would hope that you have more to offer in life besides your body.
Ideally it would be nice to find someone to settle down with. The type of life that "straight" people have would be perfect. There is something special about being with the person you love. I like guys close in age between 30 and 40 years old. Guys with a goal in life has always been a huge turn on. I like a man with a sense of purpose, You should like to lay low and watch movies on a Saturday night just as much as going out on the town. Don't be a bar fly who has to be out 4-5 nights a week. We can all only drink and party so much. Since I love pop culture, a man who respects my love of television and pop culture knowledge is essential. I work for an entertainment magazine so you can't diss the very thing that pays my bills. This doesn't mean you have to love everything I do, but you should respect it. A romantic man would be a dream, but I don't need flowers delivered. Small gestures go a long way in making a huge impression on me. Sometimes it only takes a little text message with a wink to say hello.
