About Me
TL;DR Version: Not down to earth, not easy going, and not dreadfully boring pretending to be some skewed sense of normal.

Short Version: I say not down to earth. I have my head in the clouds, I don't like the idea of being grounded or being realistic. I want to see the limits of what can be done, and that won't happen by being "down to earth."

I say not easy going because I can't stand still for extended periods of time. It's boring. I have to be doing something to improve or something to create. If you want to change the world, it's not going to happen by just sitting there.

I'm a College graduate with a degree in Computer Science. I currently work as a Software Engineer. I am a polymath, or renaissance man, and I believe in improving myself daily. I moonlight as an artist, musician, and writer. I am a Christian, and I live by its principles.

I currently have a beard. All good male technicians have beards, it's like a sacred rite of passage. It's a personal goal to be a wise white-bearded guru atop the mountain high one day.

I like to draw. I'm a hobbyist comic artist.

I'm working full time, expanding my skills by reading any and every technical book I can get a hold of. I'm looking for a legitimate challenge, and I won't find one by being complacent or stagnant in my trade. Half the time I'm busy inventing something.

What do I do?:

Technology, I am by nature a gear head in that aspect.

Music. I play Classical Guitar, French Horn, and Trumpet. I'm currently learning to play Piano in my spare time. I might go into composing eventually.

Art. I'm a published digital artist and designer currently working on getting into local art galleries.

Writing. It's one of my goals to publish at least one book before I turn 25, and I currently have two that are getting close.

Running. I ran collegiate Track and Cross Country. I'm currently retired, and training for a full marathon.

Why dating sites?

It's best to keep options open, and given my type of people we all tend towards the internet as is.

Note

It's rather appalling how many people on this site consider themselves to be easy going, drama free, looking for prince charming, or other such contrived nonsense. Whereas most girls like to have a section for guys they don't want to message them, here's a guys section for girls:

I will not reply, make contact with, or otherwise if you:

- Are self-proclaimed easy going, drama free. You're not.

- Are still looking for prince charming, knight in shining armor, sugar daddy, or santa claus. They don't exist, be realistic in expectations

- Mention YOLO, Carpe Diem out of its original context, or any hints at being able to do anything because you're young. I've seen enough after College to know people pay dearly for that type of nonsense, and it's saddening to see it happen.

- Have no direction in life whatsoever. I'm not here to magically fix everything, men want women with a head on straight too.

- Complain about no more good men, all men are scum, or whatever else. It would help if you didn't show cleavage and act surprised when rather lecherous men reply or seek correspondence. They're out there, you're just not looking in the right places.

- Mention Redneck Romeo anywhere, or anything to do with country.

- Don't read. If your definition of reading is Twilight, that also makes the list. Seriously, being well read is a good thing.

- Post any form of self deprecating commentary such as 'I'm Ugly'. I always wonder why in the world you'd post a picture like that, trolling for sympathy. It makes you seem desperate.

Now I don't mean to sound harsh, but seriously it gets old after a while. Women always tend to post one of these rule sets, so it's apt time that a man steps up to do the same.
