About Me |
Hey there.
I'm Jason. I'm twenty-two years old, but despite the age, I think it's safe to say that I'm not into the big "party-scene" as much as a normal 22 year-old guy is known to be. I tend to like to stay in or go to a friend's house with some people and just chillax. Not to say that I'm against going out and having a kick a** time, I just don't wrap my life around getting plastered every chance I get. Fair enough?
I come from a fairly large family, so I have to say that being family oriented is definitely a personal preference. I love my family to death, even though we may not always see eye-to-eye. It's not uncommon for my family to get together for some reason or another multiple times a month. So to reiterate, family oriented = awesome points in my book.
Along with that, I also prefer people who are goal oriented, too. Just a preference though, as I currently have no idea what I want to do when I "grow up". Having said that, I'm pretty sure that anyone who is reading this now thinks that I'm just a bum who sits at home with no intentions of doing anything productive with my life. Correct? If it's any consolation though, I am in school, and I do have a job (in search for a second one, even!) in addition to having a social life.
I have goals and strive to be productive every chance I get. I try not to let opportunities go out the window. It just so happens that when it comes to my career, I'm indecisive and want to find something that I would actually enjoy doing - as it will be what I do for the rest of my life. Makes sense, eh? I thought so too.
Reading over what I just said up there ^^^, I failed to mention what it is that I even do as far as work goes. So welcome to the little paragraph that should have somehow been embedded with the one above!...
I work for a bank. It's not the greatest place to work for; I'll be the first to admit that. But it was my first job right out of high school, and I've been there over four years. So I've kind of got my foot in the door there, even if it's just a little doggy door.
(You'll find that I say things that make sense my head, but when I put them into words, they more than likely just sound pretty lame - such as the analogy above. Many apologies.)
I'm a supervisor at the branch I work at, and while many people tell me that I should just try pursuing a career in the financial/banking field, I don't really find it all too appealing because I don't agree with a lot of things that banks do. It's just a job to me.
Music!
I love music. All types of music. I can't play a single instrument, which even I find pretty darn disappointing. But I listen to almost everything. Not too big on the raw-hardcore rap or the insane-crazy-screaming death metal though. Anything else I'm pretty sure I have somewhere on my iTunes.
Movies? Sure, why not.
I love movies too. EXTREME favorite types would be comedies or action movies. Or, if I'm lucky, a comedic action.
I'll give anything a shot though. (Yes, even cheesy, corny, chick flicks. But I'm only comfortable watching them if I'm with a girl who actually wants to see it. If not, I'll pass. Thanks.)
Anything else - adventure, horror, war movies, suspense ... I'm down.
I absolutely love being active. There's something about getting your heart racing and possibly breaking a sweat that I tend to obtain cravings for. God gave you a body. Why not put it to use, eh?
Sports-wise, I live and breathe hockey. Life-long die-hard Wings fan here, and I've played league hockey for the last eleven years.
I tend to have a kind of oddball sense of humor. Random-ness is a good friend of mine. And I guess I am looking for someone who may have the same crazy-and-sometimes-immature sense of humor as I do. I find it kind of cute when couples laugh at the same things and mess with each other in the same humorous fashion.
And on the "cute relationship" topic, I suppose it is safe to say that I long for the "romantic" things involved in a relationship, too. I believe that there is nothing wrong with doing small "cute" things to each other (or WITH each other, even) throughout a relationship. Going to a park, a zoo, on small little driving adventures and getting lost in random towns, going for walks, even if it's just going and walking around random stores (Meijer is quite a fun one, in my opinion), fairs, beaches, malls, pet stores, haunted houses, cider mills, putt-putt golfing - all things that I will openly admit that I enjoy doing with someone I am in a relationship with.
(Of course, attending sporting events together is also a friggin' blast!)
I suppose that will do it?
Feel free to send me a message if you think that you might want to talk or if you'd like to know more!
...I will respond, don't worry.
