So far, so good. There have been good decisions, bad decisions, social highs, social blunders, and the occasional situation where I've dropped the ball completely! I could be perfect for you, of course, which works for me......provided a mutual state of perfection exists  . Just so you know, perfect for me doesn't involve a rigid set of physical, intellectual or financial specifications (although each of these qualities is important). Our date will not resemble a stress interview at McKinsey (although I did enjoy my brief time there!), designed to eject you from my social circle based on trivialities. I'm just interested in getting to know you, because something you've entered into these little boxes resonates with me!
Hopefully, you have the same agenda. Possibly, by the end of the date we're one-upping each other on how great each of us thinks the other is. We'll want to know more. Maybe the more we know, the more we'll like. Throw in some chemistry and you've got yourself an OK success story. .
So, for those of you that care about this sorta stuff...I'm driven but also goofy at times and appreciate substance as well as style. . I'm a foodie and enjoy scouring Whole Foods for that rare ingredient to make that special dish or checking out the latest restaurant, whether it be a hole-in-the wall or a fine dining experience. Throw on some music and I'm probably out on the dance floor or mixing and beatmatching the tunes.
I tend to live in the moment as opposed to for the moment (although I plan for the future strategically, as needed)...I do enjoy spending time w/ family & friends, checking out new cities (San Antonio checking out the Riverwalk (9/11-12/10), dipping my fingers into the waters of the West Coast while in San Francisco (9/4-7/10), browsing bookstores and record stores in Chicago (I don't buy anything at the record stores anymore, since I sold my turntables when I moved to using computers to mix music, but it's always been fun to just browse the latest beats, 9/25/10), and reading/checking out the latest design/fashion trends. I don't mind getting down and dirty, and geocaching is a fun hobby at times!
I am an avid skier. Having spent most of my life in Boston for undergraduate, as well as med. and graduate school, I also follow the Red Sox. Right now, since it's colder, I've been doing the P90X workout system (I'm on day 26, and my muscles are soooo sore!). When it's warmer, I love sailing and will happily take turns piloting or crewing a boat...I like smaller boats -- hiking out over the water is exhilarating and really fun !
