I'm an active, athletic guy who's smarter than the average bear. I come from a huge family and that remains important to me as we have fun together often. I've lived around other parts of the country but moved back home to be around while my nieces grow up. I enjoy witty banter, great conversations, staying active, outdoor adventures, learning new things, fun-loving and playful people who have depth and character. The majority of the time I'm looking for ways to laugh and keep those around me smiling but enjoy sinking my teeth into a meaty topic from time to time, even healthy debate can be good. Communication is important to me in all it's forms.
Specifically I enjoy playing lots of sports, going to shows at smaller venues, art fairs & galleries, motorcycles, hiking, camping, and all manner of outdoor adventures. I enjoy learning about a wide range of things whether it be out of curiosity, desire for personal growth or a new hobby. But don't get the wrong idea, I enjoy quiet nights at home, too.
If you're familiar with Meyers-Briggs, I'm an ENFP or INFP. Historically I connect seamlessly with other NFs but get along with most people -with the limited exception of rabid progressive ideologues. And while time at home together is great, strict couch potatoes don't work for me either.
One last thing, physical attraction is a component of that initial spark, please have current photos. If you don't see fitness & an active lifestyle as part of life you enjoy, we may not be a good match. It's not about physical perfection, it's about attraction and I'm a guy, looks play a roll. I hope you can respect that part of me as a man.
Since this issue seems to garner criticism, allow me to put it another way. If someone was telling you about a great piece of music then handed you sheet music, do you think you could enjoy it? If they told you of a song's great lyrics but played you an instrumental version, could you appreciate it the way they had? Unlikely. Similarly, as a man, while I do read and require other deeper qualities above appearance, at least during the initial stages of a relationship, it's a certain smile and bodily curve that will trigger that instinctual response to make me want to know more about a woman. Even a great book needs to hook your attention early or you may just wait for the book to come out. If you're an honest, reasonable soul with the kind of passion for life that I appreciate, you'll understand. If not, likely another reason we're not meant for eternal bliss together.
