Well people have told me that some girls will like a guy for "what they do". So I'm just going to write a little about some of my "hobbies" I guess. Some I think I would die without and others are just "hobbies".
First is road bikes, I am into endurance road cycling and try to ride at least 30 miles everyday year round. My longest single rides so far have been between 140 and 160 miles and I have done a little individual time trial racing. Some days I just pedal around enjoying the nice weather or goofing off for fun. I also enjoy finding older vintage road bikes and restoring them then reselling, I will do about 1 a month but pay it more attention in the summers when everyone is more active. I think this little quote pretty much somes it up for me. On cycling- "I got into it hoping I would meet someone, instead I found torment, isolation and pain, at least I feel I am good at something and that is good." I dunno, seemed kinda relevant considering the nature of this type of website. It's my "way out" or "escape" I guess where you can just leave all your worries behind and burn through 5,000 calories while sorting out your thoughts for a few hours of awesome suffering.
I have been studying martial arts continually since the 90's and Tibetan White Crane is my main focus after I spent my entire "wasted youth" on a skateboard, HaHa! Also I have taught myself to play bass and guitar a couple of years back, fooled around with a hardcore band some and plan on learning the violin and drums this year when I have the time to focus on it. It's fun and addictive, just enjoy learning and playing really. Then comes art, I got into doing art in my early teens years. My main focus was always Bonsai and Suiseki. I also used to do a little drawing and painting but whatever with that.. . I am into collecting b.c. era coins and money from Asia. They look cool and the history and researching is always full of amazing stories.
Lets see what else?, I have never been to college and hope to find balance in my life and enter into the Anthropology program. By this fall I should be enrolled, crossing fingers! I don't have many close friends or any immediate family so weekends and holidays I am usually just out training, riding or at home working on something or killing time on movies, facebook etc.. .
*I don't drink at all so the bars and partying got left behind with my early 20's. I am the type that is up at 5am trying to figure out how I am going to cram all my activities into a single day ha! Nobody ever understands that doing 50 mph on a bike with 1" wide tires beats dealing with peoples drama and cheap Dixon St. music any night!!
Also I have been known to work myself nearly to death I guess, it came from having to be self supporting too early in life. By the end of the 10th grade I had to already have the cars, jobs, apartments and all that stuff worked out for myself. I have had times where I would work 70 hours a week and go for 3-4 years without any days off. Just doing what I had to do really.
