Hey! Glad you stopped by! The name's Doug (obviously lol) and I am an easy-going, soft-spoken guy, but I have a strong work ethic and I'm very independent. I love life and can laugh at the most ridiculous things, and I can be quite silly at times lol. I know what I want and where I'm going, but I want someone to ride this tour (of life) bus with me! God is a big part of my life and I attend church regularly, and I try to always do what's right, treat people with respect and follow the golden rule, even though most times I never get the same respect in return. But I sleep good at night, so that's all that matters, right? Anyway...
I've always been known to be pretty quiet and shy, but I tend to warm up rather quickly once I get to know someone. I was raised to be very grounded and had to earn the life I have which makes me truly appreciate it. Success, in my opinion, isn't measured by money but the positive difference we can make in the lives of others. I work very hard at staying positive through even the hardest of times. I always try to see the good in people and most times give them the benefit of doubt, which can be a bad thing, because in this day and time, some people just don't know how to be honest.
Okay, enough philosophy! Music: It is the sea I swim in every day. To be honest, I'm not sure what I'd do without it. I listen to all types of rock, especially classic, alternative and some of the new country. A few of the bands that tickle my fancy: Shinedown, Linkin Park, Nickelback, Foo Fighters, Chili Peppers, Avenged Sevenfold, Young the Giant, and Rise Against. Muse has an AMAZING song out now: Madness! Simply can't get enough of it!
Okay, I want a woman that wants to have a healthy and active lifestyle, loves to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. I need one that is easily amused, is never bored for very long, that will laugh at the crazy things I say or do, and can equally make me laugh as hard. I need one that loves being sarcastic, can open up and share ideas, and will listen and want to constantly grow our relationship. If there is nothing else I've learned from my past, I've learned this: Communication, communication, communication. Constant!! If we can't communicate and listen to each other and try to understand how we're feeling, we are just wasting our time. That may come as a surprise to you, coming out of the lips of a guy, but I refuse to waste anyone's time, including my own.
