Where will you be in 5 years?
I will be with the woman that shares equally in a calm life of family, financial security, outdoor adventure, friends, and physical and emotional warmth.
The person I chose to be with appreciates common goals, organized physical space, intimacy, the joy of maintaining herself physically through exercise and balanced nutrition, and personal pride.
My special person is balanced in our relationship; though we cherish our time together, her friends and social life are not impaired, as she appreciates her time with them as much as she understands I do mine. Our focus apart, though satisfying a need for self fulfillment, always leads back to our ultimate fulfillment as couple.
When we are out socially with family and friends, she is never suspicious or jealous (okay, maybe a little), but knows I always “have her back” and is secure knowing she is mine. She is aware, bright, articulate, fair, and able to carry a conversation with intelligence; which always makes me proud.
As I continue my career as an IT professional, my companion understands how important it is I keep pace in the fast paced world of high technology. Though hours can be long my attention to detail is all going towards meeting our common life goals.
My best friend makes me smile because she sees the importance of sharing the household load (both financially through work and at home through shared responsibility of cleaning and cooking) We work together, much as a team of horses in matched traces, always in step as we secure a life of financial dignity.
When we are around children (mine and possibly hers), we understand the duties of boundaries and expectations; balancing that with adventure (indoors and outdoors) and encouragement that provide a loving household which will always be fondly remembered once they are gone.
My fellow soul has physical needs, which she gives freely, as we engage in uninhibited expressions of delight, exploring what two people can discover when not afraid of reproach.
Our relationship appreciates the perfect person has not been created (though One was born). When disappointments occur, we communicate and work through all. We understand and communicate differently; she understands my need as a man to either approach with humor or silence; ever processing to resolve and continue our commitment, I understand her need to express feelings.
