Despite the somewhat serious tone of the rest of my description, I am a totally laid back guy at heart. Very fun loving, humorous and constantly seeking fun whether it be planned or spontaneous.
I'm an extremely physically active person but also have nerdish tendencies at heart. I rock climb but also play video games. I lift weights but also read a lot of books. I fight competitively but also meditate. I rarely sleep and music and comedy keep me alive.
I teach close quarter (hand to hand) combat training for a living. I'm the Development Coordinator for The Self Defense Company. We train law enforcement, special operations military groups, civilian and special interest groups (victims of violent crimes and women's shelters).
I personally feel the "modern" man has lost his touch with what it truly means to be a man. The book "Wild At Heart" is a great read for anyone wanting to remember that being a man means being sensitive and loving but also free spirited and even a little dangerous. Whether you believe in God or biology the fact of the matter is we were "made" to be strong and powerful not whiny and weak.
I'm mostly looking for new friends. I've been in three very serious and very long term relationships and am just looking to not have to take care of someone else for once in my life. I'm looking for fellow adults who are mature and grown up, not needy immature people who need taking care of.
